Song 231

Song 231All are for good
This too is a good rest
And I deserve it
I need it because, as I am
Unnecessarily running too much
Doing something always
This too came only for my good
Become a busybody often
Doing many things with too much frustration
Spending time calculating too much
If someone interfere becoming upset with them
As I live my life likes this
This change is also a need
I need not read anything
I need not listen to much (music)
I have nothing to watch (in TV)
Whether it is day or night that makes no difference
I can keep quiet
I can sleep too much than what normally I do
Is it called joy amidst suffering?
Is it called profit among the loss?
Is it the time to understand?
The character/natures of those who live with us
But I accepted it whichever might it be
And learn to see only benefit in it.
Mathigiri, 5-9-16, 2.30 pm
Since September 2nd night I am down with severe cold, running nose and head ache. Most of the time I was on bed and I couldn’t do any work. With much pain and strain I cooked food for me and my mother. As I was reflecting on this, I said that this kind of sickness is also good as it trains me to cope with the reality of life as it helps me to understand about others and everybody’s limitation. But still I cannot overcome one thing—try to write even this experience as a poem. If I get deliverance from that too, then that alone will be a real holiday for me.
Song 232

Song 232 Moisture within the stone
There will be mercy within the heart
By our mind won’t recognize it
There is moisture inside the stone
It will take time to sweep out
Once caught up in circumstance
Even personal mind will disappear
They won’t accept others advice also
But they will realize it latter
There is no point of taking pity on them
There is no profit even getting angry with them
We should stand by giving some space for them
And when they need, we should step in to support them
When the time comes
The raw fruit will so become fruit
But if we plug it before time
It will get rotten
Patience alone will win
But we need to have patience to understand this
Once compassion joins with it
One day we will get success
Mathigiri, 6-9-16, 2.00 pm.
Due to circumstance some people harden their heart and severe the relationship. Later when they realize their mistake, several times the ‘ego’ on both sides will put hurdle to mend the relationship. But some unexpected incident will jolt one person to reach out the other. And the other too, if matured, keeping the ego away will respond cordially. Then the old relationship will come back to normalcy—of course with a caution, both learning that they should not cross their lakshman reka. In this the offended party needs much patience and to understand this also they need patience.
Song 233 வேண்டாம் வன்மம்
என்னவோ வன்மங்கள்
மனதினில் வளர்த்தார்
ஏதேதோ சொல்லி
பகையையே வளர்த்தார்
மூண்ட கோபத்தால்
உறவையும் அழித்தார்
முடிவினில் இழப்பையும்
அவருமே பார்த்தார்
பிறக்கையில் மனதினுள்
வன்மமும் இல்லை
வளரும் போதும்
தானாய் வரவில்லை
எவரோ விதைத்து
நீரும் ஊற்ற
உரமே போட்டு
நாமுமே வளர்த்தோம்
ஆழமாய் வேரும்
அதுவும் கொள்ள
அதனை அழிக்க
வழியின்றி தவித்தோம்
இறுதியில் அதற்கே
இரையாய் மாறி
பிறருடன் தன்னையும்
சேர்த்தே அழித்தோம்
வேண்டா வன்மத்தை
வீணாக ஊன்றாதீர்
பழிவாங்கும் நோக்கில்
உரமிட்டு வளர்க்காதீர்
முளையிலே கிள்ளி
முற்றாக எறிவீர்
மீண்டும் விதைக்காது
மனதையும் காப்பீர்

Song 233Not keep the spirit of revenge
Some kind of revenge
They breed in their heart
Adding more by words
They increase the enmity
Out of anger
They destroy the relationship
Finally they faced
The real loss in life
In birth
We don’t have the spirit of revenge
When we grew
It never came automatically
Someone sowed
Others water it
We add manure to it
To grow it carefully
As it takes
Deep roots
We are troubled
As we don’t have means to destroy it
And finally
Becoming a prey to it
We get perished
Along with others
Don’t sow the
Un-needed revenge
Don’t add manure
To take revenge
Try to uproot it
In the beginning
Guard yourself
Not sowing it again
Mathigiri, 12-9-16,9.30 am.
This is also about the same woman who wants to rake revenge on her daughter as she married against her will. As this issue again and again disturb so many people in their entire family, when I thought about it, I wrote this song.
Song 234 புரியவேண்டும்
ஒவ்வொருவரு வாழ்வில்
ஒருவித சோகம்
மற்றவர் புரிய
முடியா வருத்தம்
இதயத்தின் பாரத்தை
இறக்கவும் முடியாமல்
எப்போதும் அதை
சுமக்கவும் இயலாமல்
தவித்திடும் தவிப்பை
தாங்கவும் முடியாது
இறக்கி வைத்திடும்
வழியும் கிடைக்காது
புழுங்கித் தவித்து
புலம்பியே வாழ்ந்து
பட்டிடும் வேதனை
என்ன சொல்ல
நம்மிடம் வந்து
கூறிடும் போது
நாமும் ஏற்ற
ஆறுதல் சொல்லி
சற்றேனும் அவர்
நிம்மதி காண
சொல்ல வேண்டும்
ஆறுதல் வார்த்தை
அவரது நிலையில்
நம்மை வைத்து
அதனை அறிய
முடியா போதும்
நமது சோகம்
தனையே நினைத்து
அவரது மனதை
புரிந்திட வேண்டும்
மத்திகிரி, 13-9-16, இரவு 11.20
Song 234 We should understand
Each life has
Its own sorrows
The pain which
Others cannot understand
Unable to unload
The burden of the heart
At the same time
Unable to carry it always
Unable to bear
The inner tension
Unable to get
Means to unload it
Get stress inside
And lamenting
What can we say?
About their suffering
When they
Share it with us
We too should
Comfort them
And try to help
For them to
Get some kind of peace
By saying few soothing words
Even though
We cannot step in their shoe
To experience
Their pain
Thinking about
Our own pains
We should try
To understand them
Mathigiri, 13-9-16, 11.20 pm.
One person whom I know for many years called and poured down his heart this evening. His own father shattered his married life by sleeping with his wife. This completely shattered his entire family. He lost his wife within a week after his marriage as his father lured her by promising giving the share in the property in her name. His one week family life, disappeared like a dream. His mother got divorce from his husband as she was beaten and threw away from the home by his father as she confronted him. His wife was taken compulsorily by her brothers and won a court case and got her share in the property. They arranged her marriage with another person. Now this man lives with his mother searching meaning and purpose for his life.
As I was thinking about him, I realized that however we try to step in their shoe to understand their struggle, it is beyond our comprehension about the sorrow and pain they underwent. The only way that we can comfort them is to understand their pain through our own painful experience in life and share some comfortable words to them.
Song 235 குழந்தை மனம்
குழந்தைப் போல
குணமது இருந்தால்
குழப்பம் என்பது
மனதில் வராது
குற்றம் காணும்
மனமும் இருந்தால்
குழந்தையின் குணமும்
கொஞ்சமும் வராது
வெகுளியாய் வாழும்
மனமும் போதும்
குழந்தையின் குணமது
தன்போல் வந்திடும்
ஆயினும் அறிவு
வளர வளர
குழந்தையாய் இருப்பது
ஆபத்தில் முடியும்
அறிவு வளர்ந்தபின்
மீண்டும் குழந்தைபோல்
மாறுவ தென்பது
முடியாத போதும்
குழந்தையைப் போல
மனநிலை இருந்தால்
கொஞ்ச மேனும்
அமைதி கிடைக்கும்
மத்திகிரி, 15-9-16, இரவு 11.200
Song 235 Child like
If we become
Child like
Confusion won’t
Come in our mind
Fault finding
Become our nature
We can never become
Child like
If we live like
An innocent person
Then nature of the child
Will come automatically
At the same time
As we grow in knowledge
If we continue to remain as a child
It will also become a problem
As we advance
In our knowledge
Returning back like a child
Though not possible
If we have a heart
Like that of a child
Then we will have
Some kind of peace within us
Mathigiri, 15-9-16, 11.20
I always envy children, particularly babies. How nice it would be to have a life like that. Long before back in 1974 I wrote a song asking God to give me back my childhood (see secular song 1). Though they don’t realize it, children, particularly the babies are the one who really enjoy the life and not grownups.
