Secular Song 286
Secular Song 286 Should live naturally
where we can find words
to tell those
who do not
understand even this
what is the use
of advising those
who do not know
how to live normally
we can advise those
who do not understand
and we can rebuke those
who refuse to understand
what can we do
to those who refuse to accept both means
and how can we help them
to understand their condition
In order to show
that they are different kind of species
if they began to live
in abnormal way
Once they began to live
in such life for long
then it is difficult for them
to return back to normal life again
24-1-17, On the way to Thally in the bus2.30 pm
Several people, including me, try to live to show that we are different from others. Then it is difficult to advise them or rebuke them, as their abnormal way (of life) become a normal thing for them. We have to leave them ‘let go’.
Secular Song 287

Secular Song 287 Got back my breath
The load has come down
And the weight has bit reduced
Carrying unnecessarily
The shoulders also become very weak
Voluntarily going
I carried the burden unnecessarily
Even though I realized it
Yet I get trapped knowingly
When I come forward
Many standing around me
Praise me a lot
By up roaring
Thinking that
Till I reach the destiny
I will receive
encouragement
As I carry and began to walk
And turned back to look
One by one
The crowd also disappeared
When I began to think that
For whom I am carrying this
It is for none
As this wisdom came
My hands become weak
The grip also lost
And burden also fell (automatically)
I got back my breath
Not trapped
Again in the crowd which went away
As I began to walk in my own path
I regained my old strength back
Mathigiri, 27-1-17, (28-1-17), 12.45
This is my constant struggle in my life. I will volunteer unnecessarily where even the angels fear to tread. Neither will I think about my own limitations or the purpose in it. Though there will be many to encourage and cheer me, soon one by one will disappear. At the end when I look back, I will see that many might have gone and I also carried it not serving anybody’s purpose. As I was reflecting on several such incidents in my life, I wrote this song with a spirit of humour.
Secular Song 288
Secular Song 288 Become habitual
In one way the strife of the body
Will soon disappear
But the strife of the mind
Will prolong for long time
The physical ailments
In one way is part of the natural process
But the ailments of the mind
Are sought by us alone
By various treatments
We can cure the physical ailments
But there is no cure for
The strife of the mind
Once they become habitual
How much we suffer
Both body and mind
Never remain as burden
Even if they remain burden
There is no use of fearing about them
Unless those who learnt to swim against the current
None has won them
Mathigiri, 29-1-17, 11.10 p.m.
We all know the famous story that when a man approached the astrologer, he said that for the next eighteen years the person will suffer. When that person asked, ‘then what will happen’, the astrologer replied, ‘it will become habitual and you won’t feel its burden’.
This is the reality of everyone’s life
Secular Song 289

Secular Song 289 My way
What I am sharing is not lie
They are not my own imagination
They never came because of my emotion
And they are nothing but truth
Other’s experience is not wrong
Others need not understand this
Unlike the needs of the body
The need of heart/mind is not common (for everyone)
I have my own mind
It knows what my requirement is
It has intellect to think accordingly
And I know to live accordingly
When others try to understand it
Many questions will come
As each one stands on their own stand
They will expect answer accordingly
There alone argument begins
Thousands of responses will come
But my mind will refuse to
Accept them all
Only if I go according my own mind
I can understand what is right or wrong
Once I understand the condition
Then clarity will come in life
When I try to communicate it through words
It will reflect my own experience
Whatever might other’s comment about it
I will live in my own way silently
Mathigiri, 1-2-17, 11.30 pm
Those who never live with personal conviction and clear understanding about their own principles will be easily tossed by all kinds of opinion. Neither they can nor can please all nor can live peacefully. Already in one of the previous songs I told the story about the ‘Old man and the donkey’. Though I need to consult others and listen to their advice, instead of changing my conviction and principle according to every opinion, I have to analyze my situation, find my answer, and continue to live in it.
Secular Song 290

Secular Song 290 Free advices
Easily anyone can say anything
Because there is no loss for them
They can give lots of advice
Because there is no shortage of words
They will say while passing
And will be gone on their way
Only we who listen to it alone know
The gain and profit in it
There is no shortage of such people
We need not search for them in other places
They will be very near to us
They will talk without thinking
We alone should remain careful
We should close our ears also
We should remain indifferent
And we should keep quiet
We too should not talk like them
But we should see both positive and negative in it
Only when others sought our counsel
Then we should share what is necessary
Still there is some profit in it
There is some meaning in what they say
Only taking it seriously
There is use in living in that way
Mathigiri, 6-2-17, 11.30 p.m.
I never like to do the counselling, though I am not against it. In fact, in counselling though the solutions that are prescribed might not work properly for the person seeking it, at least it will help her to unload some of her problems as there is someone to listen to them. However, my personal conviction is that unless particularly sought from us, it is better not interfere and begin to give ‘free counsel’ in the name of giving some solution to other’s problems. Even when it is sought, I generally used to avoid giving any counsel, particularly to the family people. But there are many in our lives who will just pass some comments or give some advice without understanding the real issue. However, we have to ignore them, yet there will be some good points in their comments which need to be noticed and try to analyze and implement them, if needed. Otherwise, it is better to ignore these kinds of freelance advice.
