BT Song 341

BT Song 341 A continuing story
By accusing you they have killed you on that day
By condemning you in many ways.
Will that story come to an end on that day?
But we are continuing it even now!
Because of the ‘aham’ (ego) which began in the beginning
As we are the progeny of the one had it
Even individuals too in successive generations
Continue it because of the inherent nature
Even though we got authority, yet we violated it
Though we got the right to rule, we lost it too
But to regain it (in our own way)
We killed you on the cross unrighteous way
Taking our curse on your head
Accepting our sins voluntarily
In order to remove the primordial ego in me
You handover yourself to me to kill you
Was it not a transgression done by someone else?
It is not a plot done by few other people
As I have the ego in me each day
I continue it to do it even today
Is the story going to end with me now?
Like an unending (mega) serial (story)
This will continue in each (coming) generation
As long as the final man will appear on this earth.
11-10-2015, Mathigiri, 11.30 pm.
As I am reading about the prayaschitta about the Lord and also reading from Genesis chapter 3, I was reflecting on how the story still continues: blaming others for my mistakes. This will continue in the future too. So what happened at the Garden with Manu and in the maha-yajna (prayaschitta) is not a one time event in history, but an ongoing human legacy. Then I wrote this song.
BT Song 342.

BT Song 342. He showed the path
(He is our model)
Finally, it is as per your will; what else can we do?
Once you become our final refuge.
Once I have done all that I need to do
Finally, things will be accomplished as per your will.
Other than giving myself totally to you,
Once I accepted your Will in my life
I need not be troubled too much
And I need not drown within me in depression
If we live with self pity
Then we will become a burden to others unnecessarily
And if we give ourselves knowing His will
Is there any bliss other than this?
By self denial He gave Himself for us
And dying on the cross He showed the path to us
And if we walk in that path following Him
We too will imitate Him by removing our ego.
16-10-2015, Mathigiri, 12-05 am. (17-10-2015)
Human free will and God’s will often clashed. But those who know what He has done will do the same. Personally for me, as ego often clashes in interpersonal relationships, the same is with our relationship with the lord. Once we give up our ego as we mend our relationship with others, we can understand the will and purpose of God for our lives too. Mere teaching, philosophy or theology won’t help human beings. We need a model to emulate them. And for a bhakta there is no one better than the Lord Himself.
BT Song 343

BT Song 343 Found nowhere
None has seen
So far on this earth
Like you
Who has mercy
Human beings
Never found one like you
Who has humility?
That you have
None has ever
Found searching anywhere
A God who gave Himself
In order to redeem the world
None has ever lived
Having mercy as the nature
Having humility as the character
Embodying Himself as Compassion
Having all these natures in oneself
And owning them all as your own
There is none who has
Overlord like you.
None has come as
The path to mukti
And companion to bhakti
As the redeemer to the sinner
Whether received you joyfully
Or rejected you
Your nature has
Never get changed
If remained ignorant
Or rejected after knowing you
You refuse to remain indifferent
To provide all
How much I say
Whatever I might write
There is none who
Has realized you totally
Yet I cannot remain quite
Not telling what I know
And how you have
Redeemed me
26-10-2015, 4.00 am.
Claiming one’s own personal deity as the only one who remains completely different from others and remains unique is one of the marks of bhakti. As I got up early in the morning, when I was thinking about the nature of the Lord, I wrote this song as my worship.
BT Song 344

BT Song 344 Boon
What boon shall?
I ask oh Charitable one
Other than having a mind
To know your will
What else I will ask
Oh Charitable one
Other than an understanding
To know you through bhakti
What shall I ask?
Every day in my life
Other than for grace
To do your seva
Yet I will ask one thing
To you Oh my Master
A heart to bow
Every day at your feet
But I won’t ask
One thing from you
Denying you
Because of my ego
What more shall I ask
Once I give myself to you
To worship you both
Here and hereafter
26-10-2015, Mathigiri, 11.30 pm.
As I sat for my regular meditation, I thought what shall I ask God for as a boon other than knowing His will for my life. As I was thinking on this line, the first two lines came as a prayer. Then I wrote it as a poem and completed it as my meditation.
BT Song 345

BT Song 345 Redemption
Bowing at your feet gives me joy
Coming unto your presence gives me happiness
Praising you remains always noble
And worshiping you remains the best.
Taking refuge unto you gives me strength
Thinking about you gives lots of contentment
When I (only) seek you, other things become small
When I declare your nobleness, the world is wondering
What is there to tell about me?
I feel shy if I tell anything about me
I am bewildered when think about my life
Why did you redeem me? That still remains a mystery!
There is eagerness to know about it
Yet there is fear within me thinking about it
My mind reflects on your death to redeem me
But I feel depressed in my heart when I think about it.
What else is there for me to do in it?
Where else is redemption other than this
When I think about it my love for you increases
Therefore, my spirit always worships you.
2-11-2015, Mathigiri, 2.35 pm.
Redemption always remains a secret to me. Several times I cannot understand why God has to do it—particularly the way He redeemed me. On the one hand I want to know the secret for it. At the same time I don’t want to know about it, as I trumble within me thinking about my sinful nature, which cannot be reduced by any other means. So it is better to remain a mystery to me. And when I was meditating about this, I wrote this song. Redemption from God’s point of view remains very simple and clear. But when I try to comprehend why it happened to me, then it becomes a big riddle. Sometimes there is joy to know that I am redeemed; sometimes there is fear to know what would have happened if I am not redeemed (not only about the life hereafter but in the very life itself); sometimes it remains a riddle. But the only best option left with me is to celebrate it in my spirit by worshipping Him.
