Blissful Nature
November is the best month to live in the ashram. The winter just started at the same time due to the rainy season, a gentle shower falling, surrounded by nature living alone is nothing but bliss. Added to this there should be no electricity [whether our EB minister (now) in jail or out, power situation will be the same—DRAVIDAN model governance]. Just sit in the hall stretching your leg on the bay window and immerse yourself in the silence around you. There won’t be any artificial sound of cars or vehicles. No social media, no TV [after my mother passed away I closed it completely covering it with my mother’s sari] no mobile [keep in flight mode], no reading. Just sit alone and remain silent. Of course the mind will wander and let it do its business and you try to remain calm surrounded by nature. But you won’t be alone. There will be scorpions, snakes, wild boar around the ashram. But they won’t disturb you as they live in harmony with nature. As the harvest season started, sometimes elephants might come and also wolves. But as the citizens of nature, they will not disturb you. Only the problem is the mice that might jump here and there. But as you learnt to live with them, you won’t be much disturbed by them either.
If you really want to enjoy such bliss, come and stay in the ashram. But one condition. You should come and live alone. In case if you come with another person, then one should go and stay in the dhanamandapa sitting on the swing in the library enjoying nature even better than staying in the hall. You should not even take your mobile with you and should leave in the hall. You can keep a torch light. If you can skip the dinner that would add more bliss. In case you need, better take the food in a hot pack and go and stay the entire evening, if possible also sleep there on the swing whole night. If you don’t call it bliss, what else can be called a bliss.
As I got this opportunity, I sat calmly in the hall undisturbed by outer things [except my mind] . I enjoyed such bliss this evening. As there is a power cut, though I have an inverter, I switched off the light so that I can become one with nature. Long live Dravidian model governance and let there be more power cut like this. And I am the only person enjoying such power cuts, whereas others are much disturbed. No wonder, every human invention, though added some comfort, brought lots of misery alone in life. But NATURE is here to heal you completely, provided if you can live in harmony with nature.
