Secular Song 616

Secular Song 616

There are two kinds of groups in every area of our life—Idealists and Realists.  The idealists keep a clear idealism and principles to implement, most of the time remains Theorists.  Whereas the Realists, though try their best to implement their idealism, still remain more practical and flexible.  While idealists insist upon implementing the ‘letter’ according to the ‘spirit’ of idealism, the realists try to keep the spirit as much as possible and make several adjustments in the letter to achieve their idealism.  Interestingly both the groups are found in the same ideological group often clashing with each other.  While idealists sit and talk about what should be done and what not, the Realists engaging with the people always focus on how to meet the felt needs of the people among whom they want to serve.  At the end, the idealists remain theorists till the end while the realists go ahead achieving their goal.

The idealists often warn about the danger that might come in compromising the ‘letter’.  The theorists on the other hand, ready to take the risk of dangers and prepared to face it will go ahead not addressing several hypothetical questions of ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ of the idealists.

Last year when I was staying in place for a few months, I saw this clash between these groups working for the same cause.  Till the end the idealists could never bend the realists to their formula of implementing their method, even creating some hurdles at every level.  Between them stands the Realistic Idealists who should remain as the bridge to keep the link between them so that at the end both their goals are achieved.  I saw this in every area of human life, I wrote this poem dedicated to all: Idealists, Realists and Realistic idealists.  But whoever meets the felt needs of the people alone will survive in the long run, be it realists or idealists or realistic idealists.

Secular Song 616 பாலம் ஆகணும்

வீணான வாதங்கள்

செய்து கொண்டு

நேரத்தை வீணாக

போக்கிக் கொண்டு

ஓயாமல் பேசியே

ஓய்ந்து போனார்

தத்துவம் பேசி

திரிவோரெல்லாம்

நடைமுறை தேவையை

புரிந்து கொண்டு

அதற்கேற்ப செயல்களை

வகுத்துக் கொண்டு

காரியம் சரியாக

செய்து கொண்டு

சாதித்துக் காட்டினார்

கர்மமே கண்ணாயினார்

இருவரும் தேவைதான்

இவ் வுலகினிற்கு

வாழ்வின் வண்டியும்

உருண்டோட

ஒருவர் சரியாக

வழி காட்ட

மற்றவர் அதனை

நிறைவேற்ற

எத்தனை முரண்பாடு

இடையில் வந்தும்

இருவரும் ஒருவிதம்

வெற்றிப் பெற்றார்

இறுதியில் மானுடர்

வாழ்வில் அவர்

தத்தம் பணியினை

செய்வதினால்

யார் சரி

தவறு யார்

என்கிற வாதத்தை

நாமும் விட்டு

இருவருக்கிடையே

பாலம் ஆகி

இருவரின் தொடர்பை

தக்க வைத்து

இறுதியில் மானுடர்

நலம் பேண

இணைந்து செயலாற்ற

முயன்றிடனும்

விரக்தியின் எல்லைக்கு

போகாமல் அவர்

இருவரின் தேவையை

எடுத்துச் சொல்லி

ஒருவரை ஒருவர்

புரிந்து கொண்டு

செயலாற்ற நாமும்

வேண்டிடனும்

Secular Song 616 Remain as a bridge

Doing unnecessary

Arguments

Wasting time

Without any use

Those who merely

Talks all kinds of idealism

Soon become

Worn out

Understanding the

Practical need

Planning the work

Accordingly

Implementing the work

Properly

Will achieve the goal

Who remains as karmayogi

Both are need

For this world

For the cart of life

To role smoothly

One give guidance

Clearly

And the other

Implementing it properly

How many hurdles

Come in between

At the end

Both will win

As they both

Do their seva

Properly for

The people in the world

Who is correct

And who is wrong

Giving up

This unnecessary argument

Remaining as a

Bridge in between them

And try to help them both

To keep in touch with each other

They both should

Toil joining together

In order to do

Welfare to humanity

Not allowing them

To go to one extreme of frustration

And reminding them

Their need in life

We should request them

To mutually understand each other

And work together

For the common cause
