One blessed thing in the Lord is that I need not do any kind of special preparation to go to His presence or wait for the proper time or day. Nothing wrong in doing all kinds of outward preparation or observing some rituals, but the freedom in the Lord is that we can go at any time to His presence to worship Him. As I got up early in the morning, thinking about it, I wrote this song.

Thankfully our bhakti is only not for other worlds, despising the reality of this world. This world is not only God’s creation but also the best gift given to us. So while we remain focused about our eternal life in the Further Shore, equally we have to remember our responsibility towards our life on this earth. Keeping a balance is not going to be easy. But with the help of God when we are not going to one extreme, we can strike a balance on both sides.

This is a regular theme in my songs and one constant experience in my life. Even though my intellect knows that God is there to carry my burden, but due to the weakness of my mind mainly based on my temperament, I easily get frustrated when things go wrong against my expectation. But when things settle down, I clearly see the invisible hands of God already carrying the burden through other means.

Some time I became very calculative about the way I spend my time usefully. Several times, I will divide an hour into several sections and try to complete that work within that time. When I waste my time unnecessarily, I become very upset. But later when I reflect, I realize that what I consider as mere waste is not correct. I cannot live my life as if programmed by some invisible device. As a human being with all kinds of emotional needs, I too need to pay attention to the needs of my body, mind, and buddhi. A holistic life is what God expects from me and not some kind of idealistic life because of my life as a sannyasi. As God has control over everything, the concept of waste looks too artificial to me.

God laughs thinking again and again
And He mocks at us
What all the things we proclaimed
He asks again about them to us
How many uproars we made
How arrogantly we talked
But we don’t remember them now
And we least bother about it
We often gathered to debated many things
We asked many more questions
In order to parade that we are more learned
We spoke more than what is required
We never stand firm in our conviction
Our principles are not clear
In order to show our oratory
We talked many more things
In order to show that we are unique
We put many arguments
To show that there is none to oppose
We cornered our opponents too
Finally, we are left alone
And God also forsake us
Yet we never gave up our pride
And humility does not come a bit
Rejecting the egoistic
Who always think ‘I am’
He will accept the simple one
And He will laugh at us

Sometimes due to our oratory skill and argumentative nature we try to parade that we know better than others. We have several times cornered our opponents who have different opinions and try to shut them through our skilful argument. When they see that there is no use in talking with such people and leave, we consider it our victory. As we begin to reject one by one putting the others in so many categories, finally we are left alone. As this creates some kind of supersaturation, then the energy which we used to fight with our imagined enemies turn back among ourselves creating more confusion and division. Finally, not even standing in our principle which we proclaimed loudly to the world, we are left alone. But God watching all these will have the final laugh and will reject us and will accept the simple one who demonstrates more humility than parade artificial intellect or oratory skill.
