Is it merely a projection of my brain?

[Edited by ChatGPT]

Are all the experiences I write about regarding my devotion, meditation, visions, feelings, and emotions truly real, or am I simply imagining them in my mind and projecting them as a special kind of experience and revelation from God? As a rationalistic person, I strongly believe that there is no separate mind, but rather everything is a function of my brain alone. However, there are some instincts that I cannot understand how even the brain can acquire them. One incident serves as an example:

In the ashram where my mother and I lived, there was one bathroom located in her room, while I slept in the living room. So, when I needed to use the bathroom at night without disturbing my mother, I never turned on the light in her room. Instead, I relied on the dim light in the dining hall to guide me. However, one day, around 11:30 PM, after finishing my reading, when I was about to go to the bathroom, some instinct warned me to turn on the light in my mother’s room. Although I tried to ignore it, somehow, contrary to my resolution, my hand automatically switched on the light in my mother’s room. With great caution as I walked, paying attention to the floor, I spotted a very large and poisonous scorpion under the doormat in front of the bathroom. It was concealed underneath, but I could see a part of its stinger protruding. Due to the doormat’s colorful cloth covering, one could easily mistake it for part of the mat.

Similarly, on another occasion, my instinct prompted me to carefully inspect my room when I went to the bathroom. There, I discovered a small but poisonous snake hiding behind the door, only revealing its tail slightly. One might mistake it for a lizard’s tail, but the snake’s coloration indicated otherwise. Certainly, my brain could not have predicted these events. So, I am still perplexed as to where such instincts and inspirations originate.

Certainly, when I write any commentary on my poems, I use my brain clearly. Similarly, several times, I have to rely solely on my brain to search for proper words and sometimes to compose additional words and stanzas to complete the poem. However, I cannot comprehend where the inspiration originates. So, when I was pondering this thought deeply one night, I penned this song. The inspiration came first, of course, but later, I utilized my brain to search for the proper words to express it. As I reflected on this, I wrote this Song [see BT773. And also 774].
