Then, as inspiration came, I wrote this song quickly within a few minutes and then retired to bed. As His slave, I am ready to serve Him all the time. He too needs to serve me by taking care of me. Similarly, in the last few days, I had to stand with Sankar to dig a soak pit as water in the bathrooms is not going out. I have to not only maintain the Trust account but also prepare the balance sheet for auditing each year [keeping bills for various purchases the whole year, making vouchers, getting addresses from the donors to make receipts, etc.]. These are the things that I never liked in my life. These are not the work of a sannyasi. But never in my life did God sanction what I liked; He always pushed what I didn’t like. What else can I do except vent out my anger to Him?

Again, I got up very early in the morning around 3:00. Unable to sleep further, I began to work on a paper that will be presented at a conference by another person based on my songs. So I opened the computer to work on it. But when I got up from the bed, the first line of this song echoed in my mind without any reason. At first, I ignored it. But as it continued to echo, I couldn’t resist and put it on paper to write a poem based on it. Once I began to write the first line, the words continued to flow, and I completed this song within a few minutes and continued my work on the computer.
In Kantha Bhava, the lady love will never tolerate even the very thought of sharing her beloved with anyone for any reason. In bhakti tradition, though it emphasizes the importance of fellowship among the bhaktas to worship God together, when it comes to one’s personal relationship, it should be exclusively with her. This might look strange to outsiders. But as we have similar songs and thoughts in our bhakti tradition, we never see any contradiction in it and always claim that exclusive personal relationship with the Lord.
Though God never had any exclusive relationship with His devotees, still each bhakta has this exclusive bhakti known as ‘Ananyha-bhakti’:
Ananyha-bhakti (p.69) therefore, is the exclusive and passionate (rajasa) worship of one’s Ista-Devata in the heart. It is an intense monotheism… — D.S. Sarma, A Primer Of Hinduism, Bombay, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, 1984, pp.69-70.

The need of the atman is completely different from other physical and mental needs. As someone well said [St. Augustine?]: “My atman finds no peace until it finds rest in You.” That is what it means to be ‘born again’. This term is not limited only to Muktiveda. Even Pattinattar uses the same term by saying [already quoted in Song 991] in a different way:
What is the use of wearing the ashes; what is the use of taking a holy bath, oh my heart
You don’t know how to be reborn again—what do you find in the millions of mantras in Vedas
Even though you were in the river, you do not know how to reach the shore.
