This is the last cross-stitch work my mother started but was unable to complete. After doing the outermost border and the central design, she said she couldn’t handle it because of the size and fine counts. She then asked to start another one with a larger count. I started a separate one, which she completed just a month before her death. Unable to continue this work, I set it aside to take care of my mother. After she passed away, I traveled a lot. When I returned to the Ashram after many travels, I resumed and completed it. I am dedicating this to my mother, who taught me cross-stitch when I was 8 or 9 years old. I learned many arts and crafts from her, including gardening. She loved gardening, doing artwork, reading, and writing. All of these were a part of her.
I will keep this with me along with the other one—the same pattern—which she completed. Then they both will go to her daughter as per her wish.
