All my thoughts are not merely inspired by the Thirukkural; in fact, I often borrow not just Valluvar’s ideas but even his words, with slight modifications —such as using pahirvu, which can mean both “sharing” and “forwarding.”
I am not against sharing good information, but I am concerned about the obsessive and reckless forwarding habits of some people.
Valluvar is my guide in this, and I believe he would be happy to see his thoughts shaped to suit our times, where “scrolling” and “forwarding” have become part of daily life, often replacing the habit of reading or creating something original.
Therefore, I will provide the Kural number on which my thoughts are based. Since the Kural is now available in many languages, anyone interested can easily access it digitally.
Inspired by the timeless wisdom of Thiruvalluvar.

Ethics of Forwarding—Part Two
11
Whatever you see—hold back that send-at-once hand;
Restraint, in that first moment, is the wiser stand. [423]
12
When one cannot think for oneself at all,
It’s then that others’ words go on forward-roll. [412]
13
Whatever, whoever forwards—do not rush to see;
The best is pause, not click, nor bend the knee. [423]
14
Forward only what you’ve weighed with care;
Regret after sharing—marks the mind laid bare. [391]
15
Endless forwarding, beyond all measure,
Turns the thinking mind to a shuttered leisure. [475]
16
Whatever the post, by whom, in what way it came—
Examine first; only then give it name. [423]
17
Who blocks the junk and stops the flood,
Among the sharers, stands in good. [86]
18
Not-Forwarding can make you saintly-still;
Blind sharing plants falsehoods at will. [616]
19
He who forwards before he reads,
Falls like dust before true knowledge’s deeds. [435]
20
Better to refrain than farward and rue;
Else you become the joke they pass to view. [293]
11
11
जो कुछ भी देखा, उसी क्षण मत भेजो उसे;
13
किसने क्या भेजा—तुरंत मत देखो कभी;
14
बाँटो वही, जिसे परखा है विवेक से;
16
किसने, कैसे भेजा—पहले विचारो, फिर देखो;
18
न बाँटना भी तप है, बनाता है पावन;
