BT Song 556
As I got up early in the morning after regular duties, I sat with a cup of tea for meditation and worship. But so many thoughts again preoccupied my mind and I began to debate within myself about so many issues which are confronting me. After wasting more than ten minutes on all those issues, I suddenly awoke to understand that I sat for meditation and worship, but what I am doing is against it? But I got frustrated and began to blame the Lord and said to Him ‘what do you know about my situation. Of course you came once and died once but went and hid in the sky. Though as a human you (tried) to understand our plight, but you cannot understand our struggle completely as you never faced a similar situation in your life that which I am facing now. Then that anger against the Lord turned into this poem.
BT Song 556

BT Song 556 Set aside time for me
I set aside time for you
I came to talk with you
Give me time for that
And listen to what I want to say
You don’t have the worries which I have
You never carried burdens like me
Many are there to accomplish your will
And then where comes any burden to you
Only one time you came to this world
Only one time you gave your life for us
Then you went up to hide
Therefore, you forgot about our situation
If you had a family
And if the relatives put pressure on you
You would have understood our situation
And will do to us accordingly
In order to escape
I choose the life of a recluse
And took the attire of a sannyasi
But come back and get trapped
Have you ever done this?
Did you ever carry burden like me
Therefore, you don’t know about it
And you cannot understand my condition
In order to sing and praise you
And set aside time for that too
Before I come unto your presence
Thousands of works come before that
After finishing them all
Before I come to your presence
Don’t run away from me
And don’t be get frustrated
Waiting for me patiently
And listening to all my lamentations
Then you come to a decision
And set aside some time for that (now)

BT Song 557
After doing my regular reading from Muktiveda, as I took my other books to read, I said to myself, how nice it will be to spend more time with the Lord and write new songs each day to worship and praise Him than spending time in reading and writing. Then when I opened my book to read, as this thought inspired, I wrote this immediately.
BT Song 557
BT Song 557 New songs
You should give
New song every day
I should sing
About you more and more
I find joy
When I sing about you
When I praise you
I feel very happy
I should sing
Each day to my full satisfaction
And should glorify you
Silently within me
And you should
Give boon for this
And you should give me a heart
Not seeking other things
With bhakti
I will bow at your feet
And writing poems
I will worship you
And overcome
By that joy
Oh my Lord
I will abide in you
Mathigiri, 24-10-16, 2.10
BT Song 558
One thing that I enjoy in my bhakti in the Lord is both my relationship with Him and also my rights with Him. I need not hesitate to go to His presence and demand anything because of my right as a bhakta. There is no hesitation in expressing my needs and my mood also. No doubt in it that for me bhakti is not merely a concept but a relationship which I celebrate all the time with the Lord.
BT Song 558
BT Song 558 I have the right
I have relationship with you to come to you
I have right to ask you
Grace is there to give what I ask
And where is hesitation not to ask
You told to ask without hesitation
Therefore, I ask without any shyness
I shared this without hesitation
And I asked you to help me without any shyness
How much confusion is there (in life?)
How I will come out without damage
And when I come to share this
What kind of hesitation should I have?
As you came like me
As you know my condition also
As you overcome because of your nature
I shared this with my right
Fortunately, you gave this relationship
You gave this right for me to be redeemed
You gave bhakti to know that also
More than that you gave yourself to me
Therefore, this slave came because of this right
Begging for your mercy each day
And to tell that I sought your relationship
And I am celebrating it each day

BT Song 559
As I went for my evening walk, as usual I was thinking about the Lord and my relationship with Him. That time I said that often I go to Him seeking only blessings in life and if He refuses to give what I demand, then I become upset. Then I wrote this thought as a poem in my mind and when I came back recorded it on paper.
BT Song 559
BT Song 559 You are the medicine (remedy)
We always long
Only to receive blessings
And we request you to do
Only good things to us
If something goes wrong
Then we become upset
And when you give in abundance
Then this heart will celebrate
The heart will never say
‘It is enough’
There is no chance to quench the fire
By pouring more ghee on it
Poor one what else can you do
You try to communicate by many means
Then allow us to go as we wish
And repent after get hurt
Many time I get hurt but never repented
My old nature is not yet gone
I don’t know what else I can do for that
There is no remedy other than you for this
Mathigiri, 24-10-16, 5.30 pm.
BT Song 560
Another song based on the following Surdas’ song:
What did I ever not do?
Think of my actions one by one
And tell me how you can advertise yourself
As Purifier of the Fallen.
Ever since I was born into the world
And called a living being,
Aside from the evils and errors I’ve done,
I’ve simply done nothing at all.
Those who are virtuous, obedient, pure—
How can you help but be drawn toward them?
But to shield someone burdened with fear
Proves the lordliness of the Lord indeed.
Of beautiful dark one, louts-eyed,
Who knows us all inside,
What kind of prayer can be made to you by Sur,
Who is cruel, who is crooked, who craves? —Sur’s Ocean, eds. Kenneth E Bryant, trs. By John Stratton Hawley, Massachusetts, Murty Classical Library of India, Harvard University Press, song 397, p. 689

BT Song 560 What else can I say?
How did you accept me?
And why you redeemed me
Since I born in this world
I dwell only in sin
Yet to show your nobleness
To give hope to others
You sought and redeemed me
And the angels began to praise you
Both the earth and heaven celebrate this with wonder
Noble and good people come and appreciate this
The way you have received even me, the dog
To uplift you by glorifying you
Today I come unto your presence
O charitable one how great is your compassion
For me, the one who lived in hiding?
Where is the need for any other refuge?
In order to show who has redeemed me
To praise you who saved me
Without proper words as the tongue get twisted
I come unto you this poor one, what else can I say
