தாய்வந்து தாலாட்ட

தூங்கப் போகும்

Though I enjoy the silence around me, still I am much disturbed my thoughts.  They never allow me to immerse myself in the silence around me.  If I cannot tune with the silence around me, then there is no use in it.  I want to live not only alone surrounded by nature, but also experiencing that silence within me.  I know several people have claimed to have attained that stage [of Nirvikalpa Samadhi] and returned back.  I am neither agreeing with it nor denying it as it is their experience.  But who is the one who brings so many thoughts without any break.  As I was thinking about it, I wrote this song asking that question to God.

There are many things

To share with you

I don’t know which one to share

And which one to leave

Still, I alone have the need

I am not sharing this

To unload any burden

Of my atman?

Who knows the reason?

As you are the final

Cause of everything

Who is responsible

Did you become the

Babysitter who pinches

And then rock the cradle#

At least tell that to me

If the mother comes

And sing lullaby again

The baby might

Again sleep

But I become

Like that baby

Who refuses to sleep

Even if the babysitter sing lullaby

Are you the one

Who is doing this even?

Did you do this

By becoming a babysitter?
