BT Song 406 to 410

BT Song 406

BT Song 406 Way to Mukti

He came and preached on the street

And invited us for the feast

But if we say that we don’t know Him

What would be the end result?

While those who came first waiting outside

Those who came later will eat first

They will come from all the corners of the earth

And will enjoy the fellowship with the Lord

Who would like to travel?

In a narrow path

All would like to travel

In the royal highway

The path to mukti too

Is filled with thorns and stones

Those who didn’t fear about the trails

Alone will enter in that Kingdom

Even if lament standing outside

And troubled with much pain

And lament by shedding tears

The door will be closed for many

“Get lost, I don’t know you”

When He will say this

What is the use of becoming upset?

He will do what He already told

Let us rush to travel

In the path towards Mukti

Let us become the few among

Those who were called to enter in it.

8-4-16, 11.30 pm. Luke, 13:22-30 Mathigiri

This is based on Luke 13:22-30. As I read this portion as part of my regular reading in Muktiveda, as the inspiration came I wrote the first few stanzas in the afternoon and completed it in the night after my meditation time.  This my attempt to present the Gospel stories through poems.

BT Song 407 Voyage

In the current of life

How much we are troubled

And become bewildered

Without knowing the reason

Like a boat

Without oars

Our life is too goes

On the river of Time

Without knowing the current

And not knowing the whirlpool

We cannot reach the shore

Using our hands as oars

It is better

To go safely

Not doing anything on my part

That will make the boat to capsize

How much I try

Against the current

Finally reaching the shore

Is God’s responsibility

Once He becomes the boat-man

Travelling without fear

Safely reaching the shore

We can live happily

5-3-16 & 11-4-16, 2-45 pm. Mathigiri

As life goes on, sometimes I wonder whether my life is going like a boat without any oars and using my hands as the oars try to reach the shore?  As I was reflecting on this thought I wrote this song.

BT Song 407

BT Song 408 Let it come

Let it come

And what else can I do

Even if anything comes

He is there to give company

He is with me

In each second

And without taking rest

He protects me

He encourages me

And gives strength

And lifts me up

Not allowing me to become tired

Removing the worries

And troubles

He keeps me

As the apple of the eyes

Though the body is worn out

And strength has gone

He promises

To be my companion

Out of tiredness

Though I get depressed

By proper means

He lifts me up

After receiving

All these blessings

Let anything come

What else can I say?

14-4-16, Mathigiri, 1.15 pm.

Again some kind of tiredness preoccupied my mind. I lost interest in every activity.  I prefer to remain ‘inactive’, which is also not possible. Then, pouring down my tiredness I wrote this song.

BT Song 408

BT Song 409 Door is opened

Path is opened for the Eternal life

And the door is opened to Mukti

Either young or old what does it matter

And there is no comparison for the Grace of the Lord.

Millions perished once formed in the womb

Millions died while still as babies

Millions lost their life while in youth

Millions went away after becoming old.

God has kept (or allowed) this as part of nature

And gave way for others to live (by taking us away)

As flower, baby fruit, un-ripped fruit and fruit@

God gave each-one a stage accordingly

There is no alternative to this earthly reality

There is no other way for human to live

Yet to attain mukti amidst this

There is no other path which is proclaimed by Him.

Once understood the totality of Mukti

What if one is young or old

Once received the Grace of the Lord

Why should we hesitate to enter that eternal Life?

Those who are left behind will join us

And live together in that heavenly life

Contrary to the nature of this earthly life

They will remain happy joining together in that Eternal Life.

15-4-16, 1.30 pm. Mathigiri.

As I received the message from the family of one ailing young man that his end is nearing, I said, ‘it is better for him to go’.  Above all in every faith, except materialists (atheist) death is considered only a ‘gate’ ‘door’ for another life. That could be different according to each faith. But all those who believe in God/philosophy, ‘death’ is not an end itself. Of course the death of every unborn baby, children and youth is a tragedy.  But this is part of nature or God’s order in creation or the consequence of our fall.  But those who die in the Lord leave hope for others—particularly to the family members that ‘death’ is not the final goodbye.  And to encourage his wife, her daughters, and other relatives I wrote this song.

Though I used the traditional words of ‘going to heaven’ I don’t mean it literally.  As we will inherit Eternal life on this New Earth, I mean that eternal life.

@ The Tamil words which I used are difficult to translate.  Flower, baby fruit, un-ripened fruit and fruit are the four stages that I used here in Tamil.

BT Song 410

BT Song 410 What is truth?

One can talk philosophically

And argue a lot

As long she does not

Understand Truth within

Who is the one?

Who actually understood Truth?

Not knowing what

Actually it is?

Through laudatory words

And able debate

One can try to prove

And come forward to teach

In truth though

One understood Truth

The truth in it is

That there are no words to express it

Those who truly

Understood the nature of Truth

Will remain quiet

Not saying (anything about it)

It is impossible to

Communicate the Truth

And nobody knows

The secret about the Truth

Though one is clear

In the Truth that she knows

Could it be?

Common to all?

Striving alone

And realizing within

Understanding about oneself

They will remain humble

Not philosophising it

And not arguing about it

They will live

In the Truth they found

Not showing through life

And not in one’s life

It is impossible to communicate

What actually Truth is

15-4-16. Mathigiri, 11.45 pm.

This night I was reflecting ‘what is TRUTH’, as this topic came in some of my reading.  For me certain concepts in life cannot be communicated through words, but only through life. Gandhiji talked a lot about ‘Truth’, ‘Satyagraha’ and ‘Swadeshi’. But more than his writings and talk, his life clearly demonstrated all these concepts for others to understand.  One will become tired by reading all these kinds of topic not only in his writings, but anywhere.  But one can admire when these concepts are demonstrated through life, though he/she will always remain an ISOLATED MINORITY in any society. And as I came to that conclusion I wrote this song.  Gandhiji well said that: My life is my message.
