This song was written in 1885 during the end of September or in the first week of October at Gonda. This is a kind of dialogue in which the same person responds to the questions by his own heart about several defeats in life.

ஏன் இந்த பலவீனம் என்வாழ்விலே
என்றே கேட்டிடும் என்மனமே
நோவுண்டு உந்தன் உள்ளத்திலே
நோக்கிப்பார் நீ வந்த வாழ்வினையே!
கவலையும் கலக்கமும் வாழ்க்கையில் ஏன்?
கஷ்டமும் நஷ்டமும் எனக்கிங்கு ஏன்?
காரணம் யாரை நீ கேட்டிடுவாய்
கண்மூடித் தனமாக வாழ்ந்து வந்தாய்!
நொறுங்குண்டேன் நெஞ்சினில் அமைதி இல்லை
நோவுண்டேன் சரீரத்தில் சுகமே இல்லை
அமைதியும் சுகமும் வேண்டிய நீ
அண்டிய உலகத்தின் மாந்தர் எங்கே?

பெலவீனம் இல்லாத மனிதன் உண்டோ
பாவமே செய்யாத மாந்தர் உண்டோ?

தெய்வத்தின் பாதத்தை அண்டி வந்தால்
பெறலாமே ஜீவனில் புது வாழ்வையே

தேடிய நாளுக்கும் குறைவே இல்லை
பாவத்தைப் பால்போல் பருகிய பாவிக்கு
மன்னிப்பும் பெற்றிட வழியும் இல்லை
மானிடர் பாவத்தைப் போக்கிடவே
மனுவாக முக்தேசன் உலகில் வந்தான்
தன்னண்டை சேர்வோரைத் தள்ளிடாமல்

There is no point in accusing them
Without knowing the beam in your eyes
Why are you pointing the dust in other’s eyes?
Q:‘Do humans have the spirit of forgiving?
Do they have the attitude of forgetting the wrongs?
Where I can get the redemption
From the remorse for all the sins that I have committed’
A: There is no need to become troubled

You can get new lease in your life

Plenty of days have gone seeking after Him
There is no way for me to get forgiveness
As I drank sin like milk’
A: To remove the sins of human being
Muktesan has come as human in this world
Without rejecting anyone who seek Him
He will give forgiveness and new life
As I became sick with ulcer and back pain I was sent to Gonda from Bihar to look after the Correspondence course. So I don’t have much opportunity to go out to meet people and share. Due to workload I was confined most of the time within my room. Rarely I went out. Though I gave the answers to some questions asked by the students in the Correspondence course, yet I missed real dialogue with people. Sometimes in my walk I used to engage within myself some questions which people would ask and how I had to respond. I think we all have this kind of encounter within us. This song reflects one such dialogue within me.
