As I began my night walk and thought about the Lord, the thing that came to my mind about Him is that He never has a mind that only thinks about my shortcomings. Indeed, He considers even my shortcomings as my qualification for Him to seek and save me. As I further reflected on it, I wrote this poem. Of course, after writing one stanza, I continued my walk and further reflected on it, writing the next stanza before completing the walk.
I read in one of the Tamil poems which says about God that ‘He treats our shortcomings as our qualification.’ I have to find the exact line and reference.

1. You possess a heart, boundless and free,
Where flaws dissolve, in love’s decree.

I continued my proofreading and had no time for other things. I completely stopped reading books, watching TV news, and even doing cross-stitch work. But I continued my exercise, evening and night walks, and only read a daily portion of Muktiveda. No time even for prayer and meditation. Of course, the rest of the regular work of cooking, etc., continued. No proper sleep either day or night. Really, it was amazing to realize the strength and concentration that God has given me in proofreading. Taking very little rest, I was doing it continuously. So when I was going for my night walk, I thought about it and realized that but for God’s grace, a mortal like me cannot do such work without a gap and rest, and I was overwhelmed by it and immediately wrote a song while I was walking. This is not the first time I experienced such mental and physical strength to cope with the demands of life. And I know that I can never accomplish some extra work with my strength and determination.
BT Song 999: God’s help
1. Despite our plans, despite our might,

Can we move a grain, without His grace?

For the past four days, I couldn’t even sleep properly either day or night. Though I retire to bed after 11:45, still, I couldn’t sleep for a long time. Anyhow, today I managed to sleep a bit in the afternoon. By night, I completed the proofreading. So after these four days, though I became very tired after reading my regular portion from Muktiveda, I sat for a few minutes thanking the Lord for helping me by giving strength and concentration to do the proofreading. Then I wrote one song. As it will be the 1000th song (but technically if I include my early songs on Hindu deities, then I have already completed the 1000 songs), I wrote one keeping the word ‘thousand’ in it. I wish and pray that I should not write any more songs as sometimes the inspiration bothers me by giving lots of disturbance after I retire to bed. But I am not sure. Anyhow, I thanked the Lord even for giving me this opportunity to worship Him by writing songs, and I am happy that God gave me His grace to live to write this 1000th song for Him. As usual, it is difficult to translate this song into English as I used the word ‘thousand’ in Tamil in different ways.
BT Song 1000: Can a thousand be equal
1. Though a thousand songs I sing with might,
Can they ever encompass Your infinite light?
