God has no other option but to express His love and care only through human relationships. But for the atman, the eternal fellowship and relationship only God can provide. Of course, in the eternal life, we will have fellowship with other bhaktas, but it won’t reflect in human terms (I think) but rather as a common fellowship with all.

Remorse about the mistakes made in the past will often raise its head to defeat us. Though the power of positive thinking prescribes several ready-made solutions, they won’t work permanently. The best solution I have found is to unload it on the Lord to overcome it.

Rarely does a day go by without facing some kind of struggle in life. Though I often question God for it, I know that He is not responsible for any of them as they all are my own creation. Some struggles, like health issues and old age limitations, are part of life. Anyhow, the lessons that I learn through them are the best gifts from God for me to face them courageously with His grace.

Though I was not in the mood to write a poem, still some kind of interest came. However, I resisted as the instinct continued to disturb me. I thought about why such interest comes. Then, as inspiration compelled me, I wrote this song.

Some kind of interest you bestowed upon me,
Granting the boon to sing of thee,
Keeping unnecessary thoughts at bay,
Reflecting on your grace day by day.
We cannot live devoid of such interest,
Others cannot impart it, nor manifest;

Without you, it remains unbound.
A day without thoughts of your grace,
A life not lived in your embrace,
What worth has a mind that strays,

Some kind of interest you gave to me

Not allowing unnecessary thoughts to come in my mind
You provided an opportunity to think about your grace

Others cannot give it to us
It won’t come automatically within us
Unless you gave it to me I cannot receive it
The day in which I don’t think of your grace is a waste
The life which I cannot live for you is a waste
What is the use of a mind which does not think about your will?
The tongue is there only to sing your praise
Only I know the reason for this
My heart understands the change which you gave
When I think about it my eyes are filled
Then my heart will sing your praise
When I sing there comes the bliss
By melting the body it will enlighten me within
By worshipping your feet and forgetting the world
It will drink the nectar of immense joy
