126. Over lorded me
Coming to this world as the Wisdom of God
You lorded over me O Charitable one
By removing the darkness of my heart
You protected me O my God
There were times when I searched you
With the help of my intellect
I have followed thousands of karmas
Through offerings, puja, vows and other rituals
When all of them failed
As mere human endeavor
You taking pity on this your bhakta
Came to this world searching after me
Here after let me worship you only through my bhakti
Not doing any effort on my part
Taking compassion give your grace everyday
24-05-2007. Mathigiri
Now for me not only all the outward sadhanas (spiritual disciplines) but even inward one too become any means for me to Know Him and worship Him. For me prayer, reading Muktiveda are not one among sadhanas but part of my life. Once our Lord becomes the Wisdom of God, He becomes my jnana to know about my true nature and need and to realize what God has done through Him. As I already said, I need jnana for Mukti. But this jnana is not that I search or attain but what God has revealed through our Lord. And my bhakti is not any more sadhana but a natural, spontaneous expression of my response to have my relationship with Him. Without any effort of my own I came to this world through my parents. But once I came as their child I naturally inherited that relationship as their son and they as my parent. Hence that Wisdom of God helps me to integrate karma and bhakti as a natural and spontaneous process.

127. Protect me
With my own strength
I cannot live any more
When I try to live
With the company of your grace
You should protect me through
Your strength is not troubled by my heart.
Which behaves like a monkey?
And the struggle I have with it.
25-05-2007. Mathigiri
Amidst all his advice Arjuna asks Krishna ‘For the mind, O Krishna, is restless, turbulent, strong and obstinate; I think it is extremely difficult to control like the wind. (Gita. 6:34) and in response Krishna says, ‘Undoubtedly, O mighty-armed one , the mind is restless and hard to control; yet by practice and dispassion, O son of Kunti, it is controlled..’ (6:35) Though there is some truth that only through practice and determination one can control the mind, yet in my life these two disciplines never worked. All my determination and practice to control become useless with my brain/mind/heart which behaves like a monkey.
Mind is a monkey
If you allow it to jump
And to escape
It will lead us to sin
And push us into a deep pit.
The one constant question that was asked by many is: How to control the mind. And my standard answer was: you can never control it but only can discipline it. And there is no short cut solution to it. Similarly I say that emptying the mind is not possible but only filling it with good thoughts could help one to follow that sadhana in a positive way. Of course I have written about this in my blog. Though I found a positive such discipline in Uttaraveda (NT) in Phil. 4:8, in my personal life I realized that only through the grace of God can I deal with it.

128. Make me a child
Help me to remain as a child in my character
O my guru, help me to remain as your bhakta to be at your feet
Help me to remain as a servant as long as I live on this earth to serve others
Oh Lord help me to imitate you for those who search to found you
Help me to have my body to live a life without any blemish till the end
24-08-2007. Gurukulam.
This is the first song that I wrote in the Gurukulam. After I shifted to Gurukulam on August 4th 2007, though small things of adjustment irritated me initially, I quite enjoyed that place. It gave me the opportunity for me to have my longing to live as a recluse. I prefer solitude without anyone around me and the atmosphere at the ashram gave me that opportunity. Though I thanked God for giving things knowing my particular need in that particular phase of my life, yet I wrote this prayer not to become so selfish to have my life as I want but to remain obedient to Him.

129. You should give in Full
Oh God you should come and
Give your grace in abundance
Unknowingly I have done several mistakes
But knowingly I have committed several sins
I perished by my thoughts and heart
And walked as my intellect showed me
I wandered searching for the answer
But I was bewildered not knowing the way
I diminished in my character and wellbeing
And lived as a blind person in my heart
I come unto you to complain
And stood in front of you by sharing my contradiction
Why much delay?
Won’t you have any more compassion?
04-12-2007. Gurukulam
My solitude life at the ashram gave me several opportunities to reflect on my past life. Thinking of them as if they happen again in my life I wrote this song as if I didn’t receive the answer and requested for God’s mercy.

130. Can I explain?
I didn’t believe in the imaginary stories
I didn’t believe in the stone and statues
I live keeping you in my heart
Who definitely came to this earth?
You have a will for me and
To accomplish that you selected me.
O Lord as you know everything well
You lord over me on my thoughts.
I know what I am doing
Help me to accomplish them.
You are showing that grace which is beyond intellect
In the experience of my bhakti
As you came as a human on this earth
You know my heart, words and acts.
As you know all my shortcomings
Is it necessary for me to tell you about them?
You who came as the Lord of Mukti
None has understood you totally
The one who stood beyond my thought
Can I explain them only through my words?
17-12-2007. Gurukulam
I strongly believe in the historicity of our Lord. But that historicity alone is not enough for me to trust Him. In my book (still in manuscript level) I tried to present my response to this question: Why Only Muktinath? There I said that as a Hindu I have no problem even if the Lord is merely a mythological character, to trust Him and follow Him. But my bhakti and the transformation that He brought within me is beyond human words and I strongly feel that mere human language cannot explain Him and my relationship with Him. There a bhakta should be left alone to be with her Lord.
