Though social media provides lots of information on every point, I think it gives more minute details than what is required for an ordinary person to understand. As arguments and counterarguments never allow a person like me to think properly, I feel that I am wasting my time either reading them or giving my personal view on some of them. So, as I feel suffocated by this current scenario, when I was meditating, I told the Lord that I should live by my favorite principle of ‘One day at a time,’ celebrating my relationship with the Lord rather than wasting my time involving in all kinds of controversies around me, particularly related to politics—both national and international.

But the problem with the Lord is that He is not going to reveal His total plan for our lives well in advance. I have often lived with this mystery of not understanding His way of leading my life. However, it would be good if He gave at least some hint about what He is doing or going to do so that I can be prepared for it. At the same time, knowing well that He won’t do that, the only option left with me is to tease Him and relax my mind in this bhakti prank.

As usual, I got up very early. But, unable to get out of bed, I began to contemplate. Then I felt that God was not listening to me or answering me. I thought that He had become upset with me and refused to answer. Then I also became upset with Him and began to argue with Him. The result is this poem.
We all know that ‘No’ is also an answer from God. But like a child who refuses to accept any kind of ‘No’ from its parents, a bhakta, while accepting the sovereign will of God, still demands some kind of answer that aligns with her wishes. Parents might say no to the child, yet to compensate for that ‘No,’ they have to give something else to appease the child’s anger. The same is the case with a bhakta. Though she accepts a “No” answer, she still demands some favourable response from the Lord.
