BT Song 1566

Last I got up at 3.00 am, though I became tired and did not want to get up from the bed, as I couldn’t control my urine I got up and used the restroom. When I lay down again  immediately the song for another line [BT 1566] came to mind.  Ignoring it, I tried to sleep. As my thoughts refused to allow, I took my mobile and thought of only recording the first four lines.  But once I started to write, before I completed the four lines, the next one came, resulting another complete song.  With much frustration and surprise ,I tried to catch my sleep again thinking how so much thought and words could come from an empty mind or physical brain.  Till I renounce even the very THOUGHT I cannot escape both from it and words.

BT Song 1566

BT Song 1566 You also are acting

When you are

Enacting a drama

What else can I do

Other than acting

When you are

Forcing me to dance

What else can I do

Other than dancing

Who asked

Drama of this

Who enjoyed

Your story and dialogue

If you have seen

The drama we have enacted

You will then

Understand this

When we come unto you

After become tired of

Writing and playing

So many dramas

If you on your part

Staged such drama

To whom shall we

Can go and complaint

Not want to see

Unable to refuse

When we suffer

Like this

If you that

This is also an act by us

Then you also act

Like us, by saying this

What is the need

For us to stage

Counter dramas

Like this

Knowing what is

Our practical needs

Doing accordingly is

Good for all of us

BT Song 1567

Yesterday I was invited to participate in the inauguration of Ram [or Modi] Temple at Ayodhya in our local village by the village head.  After the havan [yajna] when the call was given from the temple as arati time had come, I went along with others.  When the arati was about to begin some devotees began to ring the bells which were hanging from the ceiling.  But suddenly there came the beating of the drum and bells from the corner of the temple and when I turned that side to see who is doing it, I was shocked to see that one electric instrument is doing both beating the drum and ringing the bell simultaneously during the entire time of arati.  When the priest signalled to stop one person switched off it.

Then I remembered the way in the past devotees used to hold even used to ring big bells during the time of arati.  My mother was known as ‘Bell Mami’ [the woman who rings the bell] in the Nataraja temple at Chidambaram.  Almost everyday she will go during the evening arati and while other devotees stand in front of the sanctum to have the darshan of deity, she will stand next to the big bell to ring it when main aarti is performed.  When I visit my parents when they lived there with my brother [back late 1970] I will accompany and she will ring one and I will ring another as there are two bells.  When I saw now even electric instruments are replacing the seva of devotees, I thought how God would feel and I wrote this song this morning.  Already I wrote about the future of such technology’s invasion in every area of our life in my article ‘Robo Guru’.

NB. When my sister called, I shared about the electric drum and bell.  Then she said that this is not new, it has been there even ten years before.

BT Song 1567

BT Song 1567

Poor indeed is God

And he is also lamenting

Not having any bhaktas

To do seva to Him

When the time

For Arati has come

Assembling together all

Before Him

Beating the drum

And ringing the bell

They performed

Several sevas with much devotion

Without having

Time for that

They now arranged

Even instruments for that

If this is the

Present condition

He is much troubled

Thinking about the future

Instruments doing

Many sevas

Robots coming

As devotees [to the temple]

Singing and worshiping Him

With much love and devotion

Receiving Prasad

From Him

Returning back

To their places calmly

They will give that prasad

To their Masters

Will it stop to this

We don’t know

And how far this will go

We cannot understand

But observing what is

Already happening

What all the things that

The AI is going to do

Thinking about all

Kinds of new invention by them

Poor God, indeed

He is very much confused

After observing

All these

Thinking that

This is Kaliyuga

He is blaming himself

Thinking that

All are my own

Mistakes indeed
