BT Song 1741
I woke up very early this morning, around 3:00 a.m. Unable to fall asleep again, I had an early cup of tea and sat quietly by the bay window, stretching my leg and immersing myself in the surrounding silence. I love this solitary way of life—close to nature, free from noise, crowds, and polluted air.
Though my mind wandered through various thoughts, I often returned to the deep stillness around me and the peace within, despite the challenges that come with old age and health issues. The quiet presence of God and His blessings, together with this life of solitude, is truly blissful—something few experience in a lifetime. Reflecting on this grace, I wrote this song in thanksgiving to God.
BT Song 1741 only serenity.
1
Justice and peace
settle in my heart,
and dwell there forever—
a sanctuary apart.
2
Thinking of this,
O Lord, I came;
day after day
I bowed in Your name.
3
In nature around me
Your presence I saw;
within my own being
I sensed You in awe.
4
Though the world around
is full of strife,
within myself
I found You—my life.
5
In a world wrapped in darkness
You shine as light;
amid all existence
You stand as my might.
6
Through the path of sorrow
You showed joy’s way—
a simple road
for my heart to stay.
7
When I choose goodness
and live by its call,
when I long to do right—
You strengthen it all.
8
Amid imperfections
You showed what is whole;
in this fragile life
You completed my soul.
9
Realizing this truth,
I see clearly now—
the weight of the world
no longer bends my brow.
10
With Your grace ever
walking beside me,
there is no sorrow—
only serenity.

BT Song 1742
Emotion is an essential part of life. Without emotion—however it may be expressed—no true relationship can exist or endure. Yet beyond ordinary sensation lies a subtle depth of feeling that mere emotion cannot define. Even in absence, such feeling remains.
If this is true of human relationships, how much more of bhakti. Without emotion, there is no bhakti; yet bhakti itself is not mere sentiment. It is a true relationship—a steadfast bond that endures beyond passing moods, rooted in the ātman.
This morning, as I felt the absence of God and then realized His eternal presence once again, I rejoiced in that sacred relationship and expressed it through this song.
BT Song 1742 Parting remain unparted
1
A bond without parting
exists not in this world—
yet such a bond
with You alone unfolds.
2
A union unbroken
You granted to me;
from such a bond
parting cannot be.
3
If the tie You give
remains ever whole,
the sense of separation
never touches the soul.
4
Yet without that feeling,
devotion cannot stay;
in the day-to-day journey
it fades away.
5
If for a moment
I lose sight of You,
there is no greater pain
the world can give me too.
6
Though You are with me
in every place,
I do not always
sense Your grace.
7
The reason for this
is not in You;
I know it fully—
yet change I cannot do.
8
I know that truth
lies beyond emotion;
yet that itself
I grasp without devotion.
9
Between feeling and awareness
my mind swings ever;
caught in that motion
it rests never.
10
Yet this, for me,
is the truest state—
without both these
life cannot relate.
11
Between the two
finding balance within,
and by devotion
I let harmony begin.
12
When with both
I choose to live,
occasional parting
life will still give.
13
Yet without both,
devotion cannot stay;
never in this life
will it find its way.
14
Thus even in parting
I remain unparted;
such is the nature
of Your bond—ever-hearted.

BT Song 1743 — “You Are the Goal”
For something unseen,
I kept on running—
hoping to reach
some distant prize.
Yet as I ran,
again and again,
for reasons unknown
I paused midway.
Whether I ran
or hesitated,
the goal alone
never shifted.
And when I knew—
clear as daylight—
that You are
that very goal,
Why should I run
to “reach” the One
I have already
reached within?
They say a prize
awaits the runner
who touches the
final line.
But they do not know
that You Yourself
are the prize
You promise.
When I showed them
this treasured Gift,
they refused
to believe.
If they refuse—
what is that to me?
You are with me,
and that is enough.
Still I keep running,
only because
I never wish
to lose You again.
At times I stop,
seeking rest—
but never long
away from You.
For at the end
I shall run with You—
and together enter
eternal peace.

BT Song 1744 — “Your Song”
Only after I knew
that both my thoughts
and every word
were born of You,
Did I realize
why I never dared
to call them mine
all these years.
As a thought
You entered me—
to know Yourself
through my mind.
Then turning into
written words,
You wrote Yourself
into my heart.
You, who need
no knowing at all,
became the Knower
after creating me.
Because after
You fashioned me,
there arose a need
to know Yourself—
And so, through me,
You sought Yourself,
as thought and word
flowed from You.
Knowing this truth,
I wished to help—
just a little—
in Your own search.
When You spoke
and made me write,
I simply wrote
what You were saying.
So this too
belongs to You,
for it is made
of Your own thought.
What You spoke,
I wrote again—
exactly as
You whispered.
So now You read it
and correct the faults—
for only the flaws
belong to me.
All else—the meaning,
the movement, the voice—
is Yours alone.
Remember that.

BT Song 1745
As long as one keeps searching outside for answers to the many questions of life, those answers will remain elusive. But the moment one turns inward, one realizes that all the answers have already been given—each in a way uniquely suited to the individual. After that, there is no need to search anymore.
For me, that answer is the Lord Himself, who reveals the secret of true knowledge only to those who are humble, and not to those who boast of birth, education, wealth, status, or anything else. I have always loved this profound Upanishadic truth: real knowing belongs to the one who knows that he does not know, while the one who thinks he knows everything truly knows nothing.
यस्यामतं तस्य मतं
मतं यस्य न वेद सः।
अविज्ञातं विजानतां
विज्ञातमविजानताम्॥
Kena Upanishad (2.3).
yasyāmataṁ tasya mataṁ
mataṁ yasya na veda saḥ |
avijñātaṁ vijānatāṁ
vijñātam avijānatām ||
Kena Upanishad (2.3).
He who thinks he does not know, truly knows;
He who thinks he knows, does not know.
It is unknown to those who think they know,
And known to those who know that they do not know.
BT Song 1745 – Knowing Without Knowing**
For every question now,
there is no place,
For any further answer,
there is no need.
When life is lived
without seeking replies,
No kind of question
is needed at all.
When I live
both knowing and unknowing,
Even knowledge itself
is no longer required.
To remain as one
who knows without knowing,
There is truly
no need to know.
When a single teaching
has the power
to turn a fool
into the wise,
Why should I now run
after the wisdom
known by sages?
I need it no more.
How blessed it is
to remain a fool
When wisdom itself
is unnecessary!
When the Guru
hides wisdom from the wise
and grants it freely
to the innocent,
Grant me each day
the grace to live
as that very fool.
After that,
without any questions at all,
Let me too
live in perfect peace.

BT 1741 நீதரும் அமைதி
1
நீதரும் அமைதி
நெஞ்சில் இருக்க,
நிரந்தரமாக அங்கே
குடிகொண்டு இருக்க.
2
நான் அதை எண்ணி
நாதனே வந்தேன்;
நாளும் உன்னை
பணிந்து கொண்டேன்.
3
சூழ இருப்பதை
இயற்கையில் கண்டேன்;
என்னுள் இருக்கும்
உன்னையும் கண்டேன்.
4
எத்தனை போராட்டம்
உலகில் இருந்தும்,
என்னுள் இருக்கும்
உன்னையே கண்டேன்.
5
இருள் சூழ் உலகில்
ஒளியாக உள்ளாய்;
இருக்கத்தின் மத்தியில்
துணையாக நின்றாய்.
6
துன்பத்தின் ஊடே
இன்பத்தை அடையும்
எளிய வழியை
எனக்குத் தந்தாய்.
7
நல்லதை எண்ணி
நான் வாழும்போது,
நன்மை செய்ய
விழையும் போது—
8
குறைகள் மத்தியில்
நிறைவைக் கண்டு,
குவளைய வாழ்வில்
நிறைவைத் தந்தாய்.
9
இந்த உண்மையை
உணர்ந்த பின்னாலே,
உலகின் வாழ்வு
பாரமே இல்லை.
10
உன்னருள் என்றும்
என்னோடு இருக்க,
இனிமை அன்றித்
துயரமும் இல்லை.

B. T. Song 1742 பிரியா உறவு
1
பிரிவற்ற உறவு
உலகில் இல்லை;
6
என்னுடன் நீயும்
இருக்கின்ற போதும்,
எப்போதும் உன்னை
உணர்வது இல்லை.
7
அதற்குக் காரணம்
நீயும் இல்லை;
அதையும் அறிவேன்—
மாற்றமே இல்லை.
8
உணர்ச்சி அன்றி
உறவில்லை அறிவேன்;
ஆனால் அதுவே
உணர்வில்லை புரிந்தேன்.
9
உணர்ச்சி–உணர்வு
இரண்டிற்கும் இடையில்
ஊசல் ஆடும்
மனதைக் கொண்டேன்.
10
ஆனால் அதுதான்
என்வரை உண்மை;
இரண்டும் இன்றி
வாழ்வும் இல்லை.
11
இரண்டிற்கும் இடையில்
சமநிலை கண்டு,
பக்தியின் மூலம்
அதனை அடைந்து—
12
இரண்டும் கொண்டு
நான் வாழும்போது,
இடையிடை பிரிவு
வருவதை அறிவேன்.
13
ஆயினும் இரண்டும்
இன்றி பக்தி
ஒருபோதும் வாழ்வில்
அமைவதும் இல்லை.
14
ஆகவே பிரிந்தும்
பிரியாதிருக்கும்
உனது உறவின்
தன்மை அறிந்தேன்.
BT Song 1743 நீயே இலக்கு
ஏதோ ஒன்றை
அடைய வேண்டி
தொடர்ந்து நானும்
ஓடுகின்றேன் 1
ஓடும் போது
இடை இடையே
சற்று ஏனோ
தயங்கி நின்றேன் 2
ஓடினாலும்
தயங்கினாலும்
இலக்கு மட்டும்
மாறக் காணேன் 3
அந்த இலக்கு
நீதான் என்று
நன்ங்கு நானும்
அறிந்த போதும் 4
அடைந்த உன்னை
அடைய வேண்டி
வீணாய் எதற்கு
ஓடுகின்றேன் 5
இலக்கை நானும்
அடையும் போது
பரிசு ஒன்று
உண்டு என்றார் 6
அந்த பரிசு
நீதான் என்று
ஏனோ அவரும்
அறிய மாட்டார் 7
அடைந்த பரிசை
நானும் காட்ட
ஏனோ அதனை
நம்ப மறுத்தார் 8
யார் மறுத்தால்
எனக்கு என்ன
என்னுடன் நீ
உள்ள போது 9
ஆனால் தொடர்ந்து
ஓடுகின்றேன்
அடைந்த உன்னை
இழக்க மறுத்து 10
இடை இடையே
ஓய்வு வேண்டி
சற்று நானும்
நின்ற போதும் 11
உன்னுடனே
ஓடி முடித்து
நிரந்தரமாய்
அமைதி காண்பேன் 12

BT Song 1744 உனது பாடல்
எண்ணம் எழுத்து
இரண்டும் நீயே
என்று நானும்
அறிந்த பின்னே
இரண்டும் எனது
என்றே நானும்
இதுவரையில்
சொல்ல வில்லை
எண்ணமாக
என்னில் வந்து
உன்னை நீயே
தெரிந்து கொள்ள
எழுத்தாய் மாறி
எழுதிக் கொண்டு
உன்னை நீயே
அறிந்து கொண்டாய்
உன்னை நீயே
அறிந்து கொள்ள
தேவை இன்றி
இருந்த பின்னே
படைத்து என்னை
ஆண்ட பின்னே
அதந்த தேவை
வந்த தாலே
எந்தன் மூலம்
உன்னை அறிய
எண்ணம் ஆகி
எழுதிக் கொண்டாய்
இந்த உண்மை
அறிந்த நானும்
உனக்கு சற்று
உதவ வேண்டி
எழுத நீயும்
சொல்லும் போது
உனது சொல்லை
எழுதி வைத்தேன்
ஆகவேதான்
இதுவும் கூட
உனது எண்ணம்
என்பதாலே
சொன்ன சொல்லை
சொன்ன படியே
எழுதி நானும்
மீண்டும் தந்தேன்
ஆகவே நீ
படித்து பார்த்து
பிழையை மட்டும்
திருத்திக் கொள்ளு
மற்ற படி
கருத்து உனதே
அதை மட்டும்
நினைவில் கொள்ளு
