So keeping Muktiveda on my lap, I closed my eyes and remained in silence for few minutes. Then I said to the Lord that ‘like this I should come and talk to him’. But within few seconds as my mind began to wander, then I told the Lord that when I come to talk to him, he has equal responsibility and should help me to control my wandering mind. Then I wrote this poem to remind his responsibility and continue to read Muktiveda and my regular reading. Sometimes we have even to remind God about his responsibility. And bhakti demands this. After reading my regular Muktiveda today, as the verse in Mark 10:16 draw my attention, closing Muktiveda and not even reading my regular reading in Purvaveda, I began to meditate upon that verse. Then I recalled my longing in my college days to go back again to elementary school. Yes this desire again go to elementary even as a grownup remined in my heart for long time, particularly again back to standard 1 to 5. Those days we never had even pen or pencil to do our home work. We have to do it on a stone slate with a special chalk which we called ‘balbam’. But the way we have done it and the way we took the slate carefully to the school to show our home work were a different world to describe. The innocence of the child and the carefree life it leads are the best part of human life which we will miss much. Of course few, again in the old age, if there are children and grandchildren to take care of them, can get it back partially. But what we all will miss is our childhood. As I began to meditate upon it, I wrote this song.
