BT Song 521
As I listened to beautiful carnatic music I felt elated in my spirit. It is very difficult for me to think about my life without (carnatic) music. Sometimes I feel addicted to it as my mother often complains that I am always listening to (carnatic) music rather than watching any other program. These days I even stopped watching much panel discussion on any news but use that time to listen to music.
BT Song 521

BT Song 521 Will celebrate
With music
Seeking you in my heart
And searching you within me
I come unto your feet
Even if I sit
Only for few seconds
Thinking only about you
My heart will sing automatically with joy
I come unto you by hailing you
By uplifting you in my mind
Composing music
Adding beautiful song to it
This is the pure bliss
The anad which I got
A kind of bliss
Which I cannot understand
Once you come to give it to me
And I come to receive it
I will celebrate you always
Like this every time.

BT Song 522
There is a Tamil saying that, ‘we have treatment for paralysis but not for adamant and arrogant natures’. # Those who fail to recognize the limitations of their mind/buddhi easily become very arrogant in their intellectual capacity to analyse and arrive at their own conclusion. The danger for such people is that left alone, they will in the end struggle with their own mind and intellectual capacity. More one becomes, the more humble she should be. There is no point in reasoning with them. Allowing them to choose their own path, we should continue our journey in the Lord for which He chooses us.
One clear teaching of Muktinath is ‘humility’. In spite of all doctrinal ambiguity there are many plain teachings in Muktiveda which helps me to keep my bhakti alive in the Lord, like: humility, teachability, simplicity, forgiveness, reconciliation, proper appraisal about oneself etc. We need not confront those who remain arrogant and adamant in many areas. Though God too won’t respond to them in their own terms, yet one Muktivedic warning is that ‘God resists those who are arrogant but shows His grace to those who are humble’. I have seen in my life many who are in the end trapped by their own intellectual arrogant nature. Their dependence on their own ‘self-sufficiency’ in the end becomes a trap for them, which they cannot recognize because of their arrogant and adamant nature.

BT Song 522 No use
They can mock and laugh
And can talk arrogantly
Can ask thousands of questions to God
And God might refuse to give answer to them
He is not human to think like us
There is no need for him to confront us
He never remains a riddle
And someone rejects him even after understood; there is no need for any answer to them
Not knowing his own limitation and become a fool
And become very proud of his own knowledge
‘All are possible for me’ they say
And say many things mocking at God
We cannot analyse God only with our intellect
We cannot go beyond our deep conscience
We cannot understand everything by our mind
And there is no answer beyond silence
Too much talk (debate) will become a snare
And once we depend upon our intellect, it creates pride
Simplicity alone will uplift us
And humility alone will give bhakti
And hailing intellectualism
And thinking that they understood everything
Those who try to live depending upon their intellect alone
Have perished in million
There is no use in arguing with them
There is no means to correct them
Allowing them to go in their own way
We should continue to do our seva

BT Song 523
As I got up very early, after having a cup of tea, I had a relatively calm atmosphere which is a rare event here at Mathigiri as I am often disturbed by too much sounds and noises. But this morning it was relatively calm and I heard the voice of a rooster nearby. Then inspired by that calm atmosphere I wrote this song worshiping the Lord.
BT Song 523
BT Song 523 need humility
In morning when rooster makes noise
and when I bow at your feet
transcending heart and language
I came unto your feet all alone
Joining heart with senses
thinking only you in my heart
and singing your glory
I worship you humbly
You truly showed
humility and love to the world
I too came to ask you
to put them on me
Truly there is nobleness
to be as your bhakta
but I need to be qualified for this
and you alone should bestow it to me
In order to understand
the greatness of your Veda
kindly open my inner eyes
and give mind (buddhi) for that too
I need humbleness as per the knowledge
Along with it I need simplicity
I should do only your seva
and should live only for you
For this I need your grace
I need bhakti to receive it
To receive bhakti I need humility
and I should receive it only from you

BT Song 524
I strongly believe in charity. Of course I too agree that, ‘throwing a bone to the dog is not charity but sharing in the same bone when we are as hungry as the dog’, but instead of proclaiming such ideology, even if we could throw some bone to a dog in its need is more essential than having a philosophical talk about it.
BT Song 524

BT Song 524 Charity
God gives the spirit of mercy
it is a gift from God alone
and to help the needy one
it a boon given by God to us?
living without having mercy
is impossible for anyone who has a heart
and as we receive it from God
it only adds more value in our life
when we think that
He redeemed us because of mercy
living without mercy
is indeed a crime for us?
Helping the poor with mercy
is not charity, let us understand this
only they alone actually
helping us to do that, let us realize this
when we think that
we are indebted to so many people
all that we do for others
never will repay that debt
once we remember this
we will never have the spirit that we are helping others
to live as a human till the end
nothing will help us like the spirit of mercy
Mathigiri, 19-9-16, 2.40 pm
BT Song 525
Sometimes the few minutes which I spent silently in between my work gives some kind of peace to my mind and spirit. Particularly after my regular reading, I deliberately will spend a few minutes silently trying to recollect myself and try to come out from that world in which I spent time reading. Those few minutes I really enjoy as I experience the peace of God within me. More than real prayer time, the few minutes which help me to remain quietly in between work is the most blessed and blissful time in my life.
BT Song 525
BT Song 525 Your peace
When I come unto you
some kind of peace
creating on its own
fills from within
It controls
my mind even for few seconds
and it turns
my wavering thoughts unto you
however I try
I cannot accomplish on my own
and there is no other means
for me to receive other than from you
I rejoice when you come
to lord over me
and this your authority
gives humility in me
my heart won’t seek
any other thing
I cannot find completeness
other than in you
therefore I come
unto you often
and receive the peace
which you bestow on me
