When my mother was bedridden as I had to take care of her in the night, I started a big cross stitch work going more than seven feet. I thought that my mother might live another four or five years. And as I have to look after her, then I can do this big project. But cutting short her life at the age of 96, as she went very early (not completing her century), symbolically I too cut this long work as a short cushion cover and completed it now. Though I would like to keep it with me, still as usual I am going to give it as a gift to one family where I feel very much at home. I prefer to share my art work with others than keeping them with me.
