Hindu India

If there could be several ‘Christian’ and ‘Islamic’ and even ‘communist’ countries in the world, why not there can be a ‘Hindu’ country also—at least one.  This ‘Hindu country’ is not exclusively based on any faith or doctrine; not treating minorities as secondary citizens [as some countries are doing] but not to keep one faith over the other[as a state religion] or appease the minority in the name of religion, but treating each and every citizen equal before Law, allowing them to have freedom to profess their religious faith.

In the past the so-called ‘Hindutva’ had a different meaning and agenda.  But it is also evolving slowly according to the need of the hour, realizing that any kind of exclusivism would keep them an alien in the entire world order which slowly becomes a global village needing each other for the survival of humanity.

Yes, I agree there could be different explanations and interpretations as per one’s personal view and conviction.  But considering the very idea of a ‘Hindu country’ as if a crime is a bit hard for any Hindu to accept.

Having said this, all the educated people now know that in a maturing democracy like India, where the Constitution remains a Holy Book, no government can easily make India ‘Hindu’ country.  But several people keeping their own personal interest or agenda try to create some kind of fear in the heart of the so called minorities, that if anyone support Modi will soon end up losing their religious rights [even minority status] and would become secondary citizens without having their Fundamental Rights that they enjoy now as per our SECULAR Constitution.  Such a ‘Savior mentality’ won’t help anyone.

Similarly, some Right Wing extremists want to create some kind of fear in the hearts of Hindus by saying that unless India becomes a Hindu Country, soon we will lose our majority status due to the ‘conversion’ activities of Abrahamic Faiths—supported and equipped with Dollar and Oil money from outside India.  They say that a clear target was already set for this by the Abrahamic Faith.  So unless they support their cause, forget about creating a Hindu India but there won’t be even a Hinduism within a century in the world.  Fear mongering works for them.

But any soberly thinking Indian won’t become a victim to both these extreme views and will support any Party or Person who helps India to become more progressive amidst the global situation which now faces lots of turmoil.  In such a scenario a strong Person like Modiji is the need of the hour.  He is not a perfect Leader but as far as I understand he is the best PM India has ever seen so far.  That is why even several Muslims have joined the BJP and openly support the Leadership of Modiji.  They know for sure that Modi does not have such an agenda to make India Hindu nor is it possible for him or anyone.  If they get a brutal majority and make proper amendments in the constitution to achieve this, they still cannot win the legal battle in the Court—which thankfully remains purely Secular.   Unlike America where Republicans or Democrats can create their own majority support in their Highest Court, but this is impossible in India.  

This is my response for your message about Modiji.  I might change my view if I am proved wrong.
