Opinion and Violence

Opinion or violence

There is an English quote: ‘Hide when you are tempted to show and show when you are tempted to hide’.  For me ‘Hide when you are tempted to share and share when you are tempted to hide’.  And the result is this point from CWMG, vol. 25. We may not agree with Mahatmaji on his ideology.  But his approach to so many issues helps me to re-think several of my approaches in life.  History most of the time is written from the point of view of the one who wins. But in armed conflict there is only one point of view: violence.  Where at the end both sides were defeated, however history might depict a different picture.  As [ the world] opinion gets shaped by the political ideologies in every armed conflict to which one we have to surrender or support. I am not agreeing with Hamas.  But when three children of a mother were killed in Gaza, she cried by saying only one thing, ‘Allah give us patience’.  Still those words are echoing in my ear and mind.

‘This is a fight to finish’ Hamas says Natanyahoo.  Macron said, ‘it will take ten years to finish Hamas’.  By that time there might not be even a Gaza, who knows even an Israel.  In such armed conflict not the more violent would be the victor but everyone will be perished.

120. A PUZZLE AND ITS SOLUTION1

…In an armed conflict, the more violent is generally the victor….

The threats used by His Excellency {Lord Reading against non-cooperation}are unbecoming. This is a fight to the finish. It is a conflict between the reign of violence and of public opinion. Those who are fighting for the latter are determined to submit to any violence rather than surrender their opinion.
