After the 2015 Loksaba election debacle I wrote that if Rahul takes sannyasa from politics then we can confer the title ‘Son of the Nation’ to him. Of course, he didn’t take sannyasa (only from politics and not in life), but hope took the first step towards it. Appreciating his seva as he resigned as the Congress President still we can confer the same title to him. He deserves it as he became the role model for others in dynastic politics. Though Udayanidi (son of Stalin and grandson of Karunanidi) yesterday became the youth wing-leader of DMK (current opposition in Tamilnadu), he too will help soon to close the dynastic politics in Tamilnadu.
All these so-called leaders of young generation politicians in dynastic politics think that just a birth in a family is enough qualification not only to lead the party but also the country or state. Uday thinks that his glamour in the film world will add more credit to him. All cannot be M.G.R (late Chief Minister of Tamilnadu) or M.T. R. (late Chief Minister of the united Andhra Pradesh); both became leaders because of their glamour in the film world. But the tragedy is that other able leaders in the party cannot challenge them, as they remain mere territorial leaders within their limited area and not having pan-Indian or state level influence. Above all, their survival depends upon their support to such dynastic politics as happens in Congress (like Chidambaram and his son)
But the way Rahul posted his letter (written by someone) demonstrates his immaturity. Instead of staying back to fight he is running away from the battle ground by blaming all others though in a pseudo humility accepted personal responsibility. But at least he proved that he was no more a baby running behind his mother but became a (immature) man now by sticking to his decision. At the same time he fails to learn the art of leadership. Someone well said: BEING A BOSS IS A LONELY THING. Nobody will cooperate when he toils but all will blame him when he fails. But this is the cost of leadership. Well finally Indian democracy slowly became mature enough to show the door to all the dynastic politics and Rahul will always be remembered as the pioneer in this. But Modi and team have to work hard to fulfill the aspirations of those who voted for him, as Rahul might not be there to help him to win the next election in 2024. Who knows even Congress might not be there to oppose and the anti incumbency will threaten Modi and team.
Uday cannot brag that he will prove his leadership by his hard work to silence those who oppose dynastic politics. Like Rahul he might become the pioneer to finish dynastic politics in Tamilnadu paving the way for some able person to lead DMK if not immediately, but very soon I hope. Even if Stalin cannot learn from Rahul then who can teach him as he decided to remain blind to this democratic reality in India. Of course, Jagan son of late Rajasekara Reddy and CM of then united Andhrapradesh) managed to return back. But all the credit goes to Chandrababu Naidu (former CM of Andhrapradesh) and the strategy of Amit Shah to finish Naidu by secretly aligned with Jagan.

In this halla-bullah of election, results and post election debacle of Congress we all forgot the ‘GUARDIAN OF MODI’S SOUL’ yes, you are correct I am talking about Mani Sankar Iyer, who gave the honoree title to Modi ‘chaiwala’. Someone once said that ‘Our critics are the unpaid angels of our soul’. But Iyer is not audible or visible this time and we miss his comments and criticisms. Did Imran give him asylum in Pakistan along with Hafiz Syad as Iyer is the greatest friend of Pakistan?
