Secular Song 451 to 455

Secular Song 451

See ‘Hurdle of homogenizing’ in the blog for the comments to this song.

Secular Song 451

Secular Song 451 Nobody knows

Written with talent

And when explained properly

Several things which remain unclear

Will become very clear

Though we understood clearly

When few questions arise

When there was no answer

Only confusion will remain

Though some managed

To explain

Because of the

Personal talent

They will explain

Always keeping

Their own ideology

This also we should know

Which one is

Correct in the end?

When this question

Comes before us

Nobody knows

The answer for this

And which one would be

Correct for ever

Therefore, when we

Read anything

We should give up

Analyzing deeply about it

We should try

To understand

The overall

Theme of the book.

Secular Song 452

Getting inspiration from other’s talents and challenged by their achievement alone help us to achieve like them.  Mere imitation of what they have done won’t be useful in our life.

Secular Song 452

Secular Song 452 Don’t become a Turkey

Why should we do what others are doing?

Then we will get trapped in trouble

Don’t we have our own mind?

Listen to what I say to you

If a cat marks on the body like a tiger

Will it ever become a tiger?

If a Turkey spreads its tiny wings

Will it ever become a peacock?

Our life also become like the donkey

Which went to pilgrimage like a Brahmin? @

As I experienced this I say with much compassion

Better you survive listening to me

We have our own talents

It is better for us to understand it

When we use them

Surely we will win by our them

When we learn what others have achieved

We might get inspiration

But when we attempt to imitate it

We will only face defeat

We should know about others’ talents

And should be motivated by them

Then using our own talents

We also should achieve like them

@ A Tamil proverb.

Secular Song 453

There is a point in weeping over the spoiled milk.  Loss is inevitable in life. But those who make the loss as the investment then they can gain double fold.

Secular Song 453

Secular Song 453 Losses

We become like the water which was irrigated to weed

We become tired by serving the vain people

As we sowed out of season

We harvested husk and tried to cook it

But there is some benefit in this

It is better for all to understand this

When we don’t listen to others when they advised us

We will learn only through our experience

What is the use of weeping?

Over the spoiled milk

If we make pannier (Indian cheese) out of it

It will become a good food

Don’t blame thinking about the loss

Don’t get irritated on others for this

They too have lost so much because of us

It is better for us to understand this

There is no life without loss for anyone

Those who discouraged by loss never won

When we make the loss as the stepping stones

Surely we too will reap double fold

Secular Song 454

There is a Hindi proverb: kabi gam; kabi kushi = sorrow sometimes; sometimes happiness.  But we understand life more properly through sorrow than when we learn through happiness.  Once we understand so many benefits which sorrow brings in our life, then we won’t consider it as a burden when it comes.

Secular Song 454

Secular Song 454 Pleasant sorrows

Sorrow is also

Pleasant one

When we understand

It properly

If we need

Happiness

Without sorrow

What else is there to give?

Where one can

Find a good teacher

Other than sorrow

To teach us properly

It alone has

The strength

To imprint deeply

In our mind

It will change

Even a fool as a wise man

It will help us to

Understand life completely

It will point out

Which one is true and which one is false

And standing as our shadow

It will teach us

The loneliness

That it provides is important one

There alone we will

Understand the truth properly

Unlike the pleasure

Which disappears suddenly?

Remaining for long time

It will do many good things

There alone

Patience will begin

It will also add

Strength in our heart

Accompanying like a

True friend

It will help us to understand

Those who are around us

Once we enjoyed

All these benefits in sorrow

There is no more

Burden in it

Secular Song 455

There is an old joke: when a person opens the car to his wife, there are two reasons for it: either the car is new or the wife is new.  When both become old he will park the car and walk away—sometime not evening closing his side door properly.  All the initial enthusiasm in every new project will die in the long run.  One married person told another married person when they were talking about life: ‘to keep the romance alive we need to work hard and imagine so many new methods.’  As I was sitting in the same car with them I responded by joking, “thank god you said about ‘new method’ not ‘new life partner’.  Then they both laughed.    When I was thinking about such early enthusiasm which dies down slowly in life I wrote this song.

Secular Song 455

Secular Song 455 Should stand bye

I am forced to stand bit away

It makes me to stand alone

Though I was very busy and active

When I see the current situation—I am forced….

Many came with much enthusiasm

They involved with much uproar

As the days went and as their interest is gone

They walked away—I am forced….

The early enthusiasm

Will go away as the day moves

Those who made uproar

Will disappear as the time goes

All the new things which are started

Will become a bore in the long time

Nothing new in this

We alone should understand this—I am forced….

Though many who experienced told about it to us

It was not reaching only to our mind

How many times we share

Others too won’t understand it—I am forced….

When the heat is too much when we touch

We should keep away from it

Those who were injured when say this

We too should learn a bit—I am forced….
