Several times I hesitate to get involved in some work or in the lives of other people because of others’ opinions about me. They set an unwritten law for my life and expect me to live accordingly. I too, because of certain idealism, am unable to do what I think is correct which does not affect others in any way. But in recent times, I have decided not to live as per the creeds of other’s for my life and decided to do what I think is correct, which never violates others freedom.

Secular song 502
I know a couple, now retired and living alone with various kinds of complicated sickness. They need the care of someone but there is none to help them. Their only married son with two children is living in another place because of his work. His wife also lives outside the country with the children because of her work. The elderly couple has many relatives living in nearby areas. But the circumstance is not permitting to help them for a long time. They can come and enquire and have to leave. Apart from that, the doctor also advised them not to visit the couple and not to infect that sick man. When I think about them, I wrote this song. There are so many elderly couples now living in India, particularly in South India. They have money, but not much to help them in their need. And nobody can be blamed for this as this becomes part of the modern life which we choose chasing material needs more than human relationship. The solution that they have in the West won’t work easily in India because of so many complicated issues related to society, law, government etc. Not only do we have a peculiar social system but also peculiar problems for which there is no easy solution in this modern life (imported from the west).

Secular Song 503
As India launched a preventive attack against the Terrorist camps in Pakistan, I wrote this song. I am not in favour of violence. But those who have violence as their religion and article of faith, there is no point of talking non-violence with them. Unless we talk to them in a language they can understand, they cannot realize the pain and suffering of others because of their article of faith. And we need to salute not only to our Indian Air force but also the leadership of Modi who took this decision. Of course we should be ready to face the consequences, but already as we are paying a heavy price to terrorism, there is no point in extending our hand for peace to such terrorists. Such a decision will also help us to remain alert and need to remain united, in spite of domestic political compulsions. Same is the case with China. When it had aggression and land grabbing as its state policy, when it tried to encroach our territory, India resisted in which several Indian soldiers were martyred. That time many cynical Indians also said that we should not confront a big military power like China. But India showed what we are capable of now and this silenced several of internal critics to paint India as a weak nation. There is no point of bowing before those who cannot understand normal conduct in life.

Those who failed in life alone ask many philosophical questions about it. But common people neither have time to ask unnecessary philosophical questions nor interested to know any answer for them. They live their life toiling with others giving space for everyone to live by celebrating life. This is the right answer for any kind of philosophical question about life. Once we know this answer for sure, not asking unnecessary questions about life, we too need to learn to live like others celebrating life.

Whoever might have given whatever kind of answers
They fail to give which is acceptable to all

Realizing that we came only to live
Knowing the greatness of the life that we live
They toiled to live with others
We too walking in their path
Like them joining others and toiling in life

We should celebrate the life by living it
