Secular Song 261

Secular Song 261 Free entertainment
‘Lunatic’ became my name
And scribbling become my job
My life become a waste
And it took many days to understand this
There is no point of pitying about it
I need not worry too
As there are so many people
Also exist like me
Just, somehow to pass the time
Scribbling some thing
And confusing some others
Become my habit
As some laugh about it
And ridicule me
I never charge anything from them
I never beg someone to sponsor me
Don’t find too many shortcomings (in this entertainment)
Which I provide free of cost
Never count the teeth of the cow
Which is given in charity@?
Mathigiri, 11-11-16, 6.30 am.
Whether others find any humour in my song or not, I laugh several times after I wrote this kind of poem. I like humour and it is part of my life. I like to make jokes about me and I enjoy it.
@ This is a Tamil proverb. In Tamilnadu, in order to know the age of the cow (or any cattle) they use to count the teeth. But one should not count the teeth of a cow which is given to charity.
Secular Song 262

Secular Song 262 should be introvert
I should keep quiet
And should remain within myself
Slowly I should draw back
Each of my thoughts within myself
Unnecessary thoughts will stop
If I give up vain talk
And if unnecessary thoughts stop
Unceasing imagination will dry up
With a small fire
We can create a big one
With unnecessary imagination
We can fly up to the sky
Even a small discussion
Will become a big argument
If we begin unnecessarily
An unending struggle will commence
Thought should be overcome by thought
And we should receive the training for it
If we say that it is not possible for us
Finally, we have to face the defeat
Mathigiri, 11-11-16, 11.10 pm.
I like the formula that: a small thought leads to imagination, imagination to vision/dream; dream to desire; desire to action and action to consent and consent will end up in conviction—which will encourage implementation. One of the questions that Arjuna asked Sri Krishna was:
The mind verily is, O Krishna, restless, turbulent, strong and obstinate; therefore, I consider it as difficult to control as the wind—6:34
And Krishna’s response was:
Doubtless, O might armed the mind is restless and hard to control; but by practice and dispassion, O son of Kunti, it can be controlled.—6:35

Secular Song 263

Secular Song 263 It is better not clear
How many questions arises within me
When I think about myself
When I think about me
I laugh at myself
How chanchal is my heart
In this life which is not clear
Each day I put one mask
And remove it within few minutes
I am agitated
And give many reasons for that
The advice which I gave for others
Won’t be useful to me, I say this.
When someone try to help me
I run away from them and hide
Then I lament that
None came to help me
My way become high way for me
And this become my condition
I will gradually understand (about myself)
Is my answer for this too?
I don’t find any use
Living with clear understanding
I found it good that
It is better not to understand (about me)
in the Train (from Hyderabad to Bangalore), 14-11-16, 7.30 am.
As I got a comfortable side berth on the way back from Hyderabad to Bangalore, I was enjoying my time reading my book. But suddenly I began to reflect about my talk, and discussion that I had with the youths at Hyderabad and began to compare and analyse my life based on the advice which I gave to them. Then I began to laugh at myself saying, ‘what is the use of giving so much advice to those youths where you cannot implement even one sincerely in your life’. Then I wrote this song at the back of the book which I was reading.
Secular Song 264

Secular Song 264 Don’t brag too much
Don’t brag too much
Don’t get trapped by talking much
Don’t contradict too much
Don’t get irritated unnecessarily
You should think about the purpose of your coming
You should understand about your life
And co-operating with others
You should know to live together
How many you know among
Those who lived before you
Many thousands of generations lived before you
And they too disappeared
They don’t have time to make them
To be remembered by the next generation
And you never think about them
With any concern now
Realizing this you too live accordingly
And stop bragging
I too have many works to do
Rest I will come and tell you later.
14-11-16, 11.45 am. On the bus from Bangalore to Hosur.
As I got the window seat in the bus, I was just watching the people who are busy with so many activities in life. In travel I observe people more and think about life. As various thoughts came in my mind, combining them all together I scribbled this poem in the bus itself while I was travelling from Bangalore to Hosur.
Secular Song 265

Secular Song 265 Good and bad
Termites are making their nest
And the snake come and dwell in it
What can we say?
About this nature’s course
One person toils a lot
Another sit and enjoy the life
And he says that
There is no alternate to this human ordinance
Some try to live
Claiming honesty and integrity
And others are making fun of them
By calling them hopeless ones
Accept such contradictions
As part of life
And try to live
With them in this world
There is no life
Without the mix of good and bad
And there is no means for us to escape
Other than to live with them
Mathigiri, 17-11-16, 5.15 pm.
As I was doing my evening walk the first line of this song based on the Tamil proverb came automatically in my mind without any reason. Actually, I was not even meditating on this subject. But as the inspiration continued, I recorded this song on my mobile and then recorded it on the computer.
