Secular Song 341 Unnecessary burdens
We should carry
Which we ought to carry
And should unload
Which is unnecessary?
But if we say that
I will carry both
Then we need to carry
More extra burden
Don’t carry
For others to appreciate
Don’t accept extra burden
Just for pride’s sake
Don’t go and poke your nose
For others to appreciate
And don’t grab
While others refuses to share (their burden)
We should guide
So that others can stand on their own leg
We should encourage so that
Others can do their duty
When they are about to slip
Then we should uphold them
And should extend our hands
So that they get up to stand
Leaving this if we by thinking
That all are possible for me
And carry everything
On our head
Unable to do ourselves
And not allowing others to do
We will become
A laughing stalk for all

Blessed is the person who understands her limitations. Voluntarily helping others is a noble cause. But before doing it one should think about her ability and availability. Otherwise, she will end up creating problems not only for herself but to the person to whom she wants help. One’s own strength and limitation along with others limitation and co-operation alone can do justice to our service to others. Better stand by than poking the nose in other’s matters beyond your limit. Sometimes it is good to give up the Saviour Mentality.

Secular Song 342 Responsibilities
Oh my heart there is no point in lamenting
Once you accepted the responsibility
You need more patience
And should stop lamenting
There is none on this earth
Without having some responsibility
And try to run and remain hiding
The heart’s burden won’t go
Once you do your part
Others will come to help you
When you run to hide
They won’t come to seek after you
Someone will do
What you are supposed to do
When you come back and demand it
Even they might refuse to hand over again to you
There is no use in living
Missing the opportunity once
And then regretting about it
And blaming others for that
Life without responsibility will soon become boring
And you will get frustrated even in that kind of life
However you again longed for it
It might refuse to come back to you
Accept the responsibility as your duty
And then accomplish it diligently
Then responsibility will give patience
And it will do its part

Sometimes when I get up in the morning, my whole body aches and I would prefer to lay down on my cot to take some rest further. But as I have to look after my mother and do the regular work from which there is no escape for me, I will do the work a bit slowly. But one thing I never do. Try to run away from the responsibility, in which I never believe. Even with some grudging I will do my work rather than try to run away from it. As I became very tired this morning and unable to work, after the first rounds of work, I wrote this song.

How much you lament
There is no deliverance for you from this
Don’t ask others about it
Because there is no answer to this
If others put you in prison
You can try to come out from it
When you put yourself in prison
How are you going to get freedom?
Life is in the prison of the body
The heart is in the prison of life
In the prison of heart is your aham (I, or ego)
Then where is the freedom from any of them?
Life, heart and ego joining together
Try to break the body
But the body is keeping
All of them under its control
In the meantime heart and ego
Often fight with life.
Then joining together
They all lament
When each one is lamenting like this
Who will listen to your lamentation?
Unless God taking mercy on you
Nobody can give deliverance to you
Therefore don’t lament unnecessarily
Don’t get agitated and become upset
Till he will call you

The constant struggle between the body, soul and life is indeed a burden. Sometimes I become very tired and want that kind of life where I can have minimum work. But as long as we have a body and a mind to keep us busy there is no respite from both of them. So unless God gives us deliverance from this, there is no point of lamenting about such struggle and somehow I have to live in it.

I see that
I have a song within me
But I get troubled
As the words are not coming to write it down
Though the thought is
Very clear in my mind
I don’t know
How to share in words
If I get a small hint
That is enough now
Then my mind
Will be very busy
Taking the
Wings of imagination
It will soar high
In the sky
But I understand
Your hesitation
And the reason for that too
Is very genuine
As you give irritation
By scribbling something (in the name of poem)
‘Do you need one more?’
I understand this hesitation
If you give that hint
I will write very short poem
And I will try to write
Not confusing others much
Therefore the destiny
Is in your hand
What else
Can I do further?
I will give you
Time to think

As I went for my evening walk, there came an urge to write a song. But I resisted it much and managed to finish my evening walk without further disturbance by the mind. But while I was preparing the dinner for us, again the same ‘itching’ came to write one song and the first few lines came in my mind while I was in the kitchen. So after dinner when I returned back to my room, as I was reflecting further about it, I wrote this song with a note of humor.

சின்னஞ் சிறிய செயலென்று
சொல்வது என்றும் சரியில்லை
சிறியது பெரியது என்பதெல்லாம்
செய்கின்ற செயலில் இருப்பதில்லை
சிறியதாய் இருக்கும் அச்சாணி
இல்லா வண்டி ஓடாது
சின்னஞ் சிறிய செயலன்றி
காரியம் முழுமை அடையாது
உணவில் போடும் உப்பும்தான்
கொஞ்சமாய் இருப்பது உண்மைதான்
அதிகம் போட்டால் கரித்துவிடும்
அறவே மறந்தால் குப்பையாகும்

சிறப்பாய் நாமும் முடித்துவிட்டால்

Secular Song 345 Small one
It is not proper to say
That this is a small work
Small or big is not
In the work that we do
Without the small axis
The cart won’t go
Without the small part
No work will become complete
It is true that
Salt always remain very insignificant in food
If it becomes excess it will spoil the food
And if it is too little, then food will become tasteless
Once we do
Our small part
Adding bit by bit
It will become big indeed
Little rain drop will
Get collected to form a big river
If all the small rivers join together
Then it will become a great ocean
Only when we manage to do bit and peace
We can accomplish big things
The full growth is possible
When it begins with small level
Mathigiri, 18-7-2017, 11.10 Rome was not built in one day. So every big task can be achieved only from a small beginning. In every big project that I undertake, I strictly follow the philosophy. That is why when I begin a big cross stitch or start to read any book running several volumes, I will keep this philosophy in my mind and by working slowly but studiedly I will reach the goal. But some people, seeing the size of the work, refuse to begin thinking that they can never complete it. They are correct as one has to consider her own limitations. But without attempting accepting defeat is not good. But not considering one’s personal limitation launching any big project is also wrong. But try to avoid any work because laziness should be avoided. Even if we fail, at least we will have the satisfaction that we tried. But laziness will always try to find excuses why one cannot even attempt.
