Song 16
This is one of my favourite topics: try to live in the present. Though I never implement it in a perfect way as I too have anxiety about future and regret about the past, still I will try to overcome them by trying to live in the present.
16The problem which never might come
Oh ignorant people
Who wastes the present
In a foolish way
By Imagining about
The future problems that might not come!
Let us face when they will come.
Using the golden opportunity
That is at present
If you gain wisdom
By proper means
There is some use in it.
Song 17
Both sex and hunger are the most beautiful gifts by God. Even animals never transgress the law of nature in this. But only in human life do they become fire destroying us. But those who have self-control become a model for others to follow. But in many others life is like a wildfire, they merely destroy them completely.

17 Two fires
God kept two kinds of fire
In our life!
One is hungry
Another is sex
Why he kept them
And what is his expectation?
Like loading too much burden
On the head of a child
Human beings too are struggling
Unable to bear that burden
Like a fool who pours
Ghee on the fire to quench it
People do the same
To quench these two fires
Unable to understand the reality
Like a dumb who saw a dream
They too suffer keeping it within them
Without knowing to communicate!
Both hunger and sex are
Two gifts from God
If they are handled properly
They become very useful
Keeping the law of nature
Even animals too
Handle both of them
In proper way among them
But overcome by lust
If we burn our body
Finally the
Loss will be ours only
If we walk in the
Path of family joining together
It will shine like a
Lamp all the time
In order to keep the life in the body
If we eat properly
Keeping the health before us
Our life too will prolong
If we eat one time, we will become Yogi
If we eat two times, we are enjoying the life
If we eat three times then we will become enemy to our body
And if we eat more than that then we are not even human beings
We should eat in order to live
And we should not live only to eat
A glutton Indeed is a burden to the world
If one wishes to take the cart of life
In proper way
Keeping both these needs
In between the axis of self-control
And if the both the wheels role
Properly coordinating with each other
You will prosper in your life
And you will become light to the world

Song 18
Changing one’s principle often will bring instability both in life and mind. Those who try to justify it will become self-righteous. They will even try to convince others by their skillful talk. As I was reflecting on this nature, I wrote this song.
கொண்ட கொள்கையில் நாம உறுதியாய் இருக்கணும். அதேசமயம் தேவைப்படும்போது விட்டுக் கொடுக்கவும் தயங்க கூடாது. இதைப்பற்றி மற்றவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து நமது மனமே நம்மை குறை கூறலாம். அது சரியாகவும் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் வளைந்து கொடுக்காமல் வாழ்க்கை இல்லை;

18 Change in principle
The decisions that I took
Are many to count
But I cannot accomplish anyone
And this became the reality at the end
Why this kind of disturbances in my life
How many questions are there in my life?
If life goes like this
At the end what will be there to live?
Each day there is struggle in mind
Like unending waves
If I bow, it will overcome me and if I threaten it will bow
This is the reality about my mind
I proclaim to the world that
One should have a strong conviction
But how many times I have changed
My principles as I wished
Even Chameleon will change its colour
Only to survive
But I changed my principles many times
Giving space for others to blame me
The reason for this condition is that
I lived thinking me as a righteous person
Those who have self-righteousness as their principle
Then it will become a gamble for them each day
In order to accomplish only their will
They won’t hesitate to go any extend
They will speak lots of philosophy
Like a drunk, standing on their own self-righteousness

Song 19
As I was travelling in a bus from Sunowli after my visit to Keshave’s village (kekaraha) as I was observing the life of people who are busy with so many works to meet the needs of life, I thought that seeking so many needs and pleasure people become worn out by toiling much. But once they understand the secret of content in life, then they too know how to relax. Of course, it was easy to view life as a sannyasi and single person like this. But poems reflect the mood of that time and not giving final thought about life.
19. Struggle
Once he got up in the morning
What would be the thought that comes to mind?
‘How this day will go’
Is the constant thought and struggle in the mind?
He became worn out
By toiling a lot without seeing any joy in it
In order to have food, shelter and pleasure
He toils a lot without having any rest
When he got one thing
The thought of another thing comes to him
And he does not find contentment even in one thing properly
Like a deer which chases the mirage
He also cries chasing the maya of this world
Whatever advice we give, he won’t accept
And there is a secret behind this
As he never received the medicine ‘contentment’
For this disease in life.

Song 20
As I was reflecting on the struggles in life and the way we continue to face it, not accepting the defeat I wrote this song.
20 Life
Whichever kind of life we lead
[at the end the question will come]:
What kind of life is this?
At the end
Only disappointment is there.
Man tries to live
But unable to find satisfaction in it
As he always searches for something new!
Though he cannot get it
Still the struggles never came to an end!
As he takes food to his mouth
As the fingers get stumbled by teeth
It fell on the ground.
Yet not accepting the defeat
He began to collect it again
Not spoiled by dust!
As long as he lives on this earth
This unnecessary struggle will continue each day
What else can he do?

It fell on the ground.
Yet not accepting the defeat
He began to collect it again
Not spoiled by dust!
As long as he lives on this earth
This unnecessary struggle will continue each day
What else can he do?
