Song 31
After reading this short poem by Emily Dickinson, I wrote this song.
‘Success is Counted sweet; By those who ne’er succeed; To comprehend A Nectar; Requires the sorest need’—Emily Dickinson,

31 Two tracks
Success is an unreachable fruit
For those who were disappointed
Defeat is an unbearable burden
For those who are depressed
For the life, like a train
To reach its destiny without accident
The two tracks of
Success and failure are essential.

Song 32
When Shashi came to talk with me with much frustration about life and considered it nothing but ‘maya’, to encourage him, I advised not to have this attitude. For me ‘maya’ is nothing but a concept of lazy people who do not want to struggle in life to come forward. Leaving the company of such people we should strive to make progress in life. What the philosophy talks about ‘maya’ is completely different from what common people talk about it. This is not the place to discuss the philosophical point of view on maya.

32 Show by living
Life is not ‘maya
And the words which we utter are not without meaning
If there is some meaning in our words
There is meaning in the life also which we live
There is none who has lived completely
In order to understand the secret of life
They try their best to live
Therefore, you to strive as much as possible
In the name of ‘maya’ some live a lazy life
In order to kill their time
Leaving that foolish people
You get up to live this life!

Song 33
When some people told me that if at all I write any poem, then it should be only about God and not on secular events. Because these days again I began to write secular songs. In response to them I wrote this song.
12-11-1994, Mahari, Rewa.
33 God
If you have to write any poem
Then it should be only about God
Otherwise you are not a bhakta
Say some pseudo bhaktas!
If we manage to say about God in words
Then the very words will become God!
If one manages to talk about God
Who stands beyond thoughts
Then the very thought will become God
This is the response by those
Who realized God in their life.

Song 34
Of all the creations, humans alone is a riddle to himself. Though he found answers to several questions in life, yet as he goes round and round in the same circle, he will remain a riddle to himself.

34 Man is a riddle
Man is a riddle
Since he came to
This earth.
He struggles
To find out
The answer to it!
Even if he walks
On the path of
Those who realized it
Still, he starts from where he began!
As long as both the beginning and end
Remains the same
Man will continue to remain a riddle.

Song 35
When I got up from the bed at midnight, several times I thought about life. That time I will write about that situation in poems. This is one such poem. As I already said, each poem has its own context and it never reflects the overall principle of a poet.
Rewa, 29-11-1994, 9.45 am.
35 Life
Sleepless nights
Senseless relationships
Satisfaction with frustration
Is the nature of life!
Relatives will come only when one earns
Therefore, it is good to earn
Life remains incomplete; never becoming complete
This is its nature!
Other will seek us when we have something
They will remember us when we help them
Once we are gone, they will forget us!
We always lament
Thinking about such emptiness in life
Oh my heart don’t be troubled
This life is nothing but maya!
Rewa, 29-11-1994, 9.45 am.
