This is a dialogue within me: I don’t believe in a transcendental being which remains indifferent to the affairs of this world resigned to His/its own Blissful state. I don’t believe in an Imminent God whom we reduce to mere images or our own pet philosophies. At the same time, considering my own nature, I cannot claim that ‘I am Brahman’ (aham brahmaasmi). Then what is the solution to this dilemma?’
When I thought on these lines, immediately I wrote this poem in mind when I was travelling from Mahari to Varanasi. 7-30 a.m.
I don’t know why I brought this under Secular song. Anyhow now I cannot change it. And let it be here.

74 Not knowing properly
He is not with any form
But He is not even in without form
They search him in vain
Wandering everywhere
Not knowing properly
He is not in the forest
He is not in the cities
The one who
Dwells in the cave of the heart
One cannot be known
However one searches in scriptures!
He is not in the Image
He is not in our karma
The one who dwells in a pure heart
We cannot reach even through our jnana
This is the Truth which I know
