As usual, I got up early in the morning. Unable to get up from the bed, and at the same time unwilling to continue to lie on the bed, I got up. Instead of opening the computer to do some other work, I sat quietly for a few minutes. Then I said to the Lord, “What is the use of following you? I never repented completely or sincerely. That’s why I often get tossed by many troubles in life.” After telling this to the Lord, I sat for some time quietly, allowing my mind to think about the various troubles I face in everyday life. Then, as the inspiration came, I wrote this song.

However, others need to share their part in it, still, as a devotee of the Lord, finally, we alone need to take complete responsibility—even for our reaction. As I was meditating on this, I wrote this song. Though I often pay a price, if the Lord refuses to correct me, then finally He should be ready to pay a price for that also.

ஆசைக்கு அளவில்லை
நீயதை அறிவாய்
அதைநீ தடுக்காத
காரணம் சொல்லு

நான் போக்கும் போக்கிலே
போக எனைவிட்டு
அடைவது நீயெதை
அதைமட்டும் சொல்லு

சொன்னாலும் திருந்தாத
பிறவி இதுவென்று
பட்டேனும் திருந்தட்டும்
என்றுமே விட்டாயோ

ஆயினும் அதனாலே
பாதிக்கப் படுவது
நீதான் என்பதை
உண்மையில் அறியாயோ

கொடுத்தாலும் மறுத்தாலும்
நானுன் பொறுப்பாச்சு
அதன்படி செய்வதே
நமக்கும் நலமாச்சு

அதனாலே உன்மீது
பக்தி ஒன்றன்றி
மற்றவை அளவோடு
அளப்பதுன் கடனாச்சு
